Since I upgraded my Kubuntu distro from 16.04 to 18.04 I had to update or reinstall several applications like GIMP, Kolourpaint, several C and make related packages, libpango, libcairo, dpkg-dev, a few object oriented programming languages, sound related packages, Ruby headers, and last but not least zsnes! ;shocked: I was worried I didn't care to download vlc packages, but it was already included in Kubuntu! 
Even Ruby's version was 2.5 from the very beginning! 
Yeah, I also installed a few Solitaire like games as well. I just needed to fetch around 200 MB! Yes, I have reinstalled rubygems like Rails and Gosu already.
