I was also really interested in seeing where they take it because Tales of Graces was an immediate disappointment to me compared to older games. Definite lack of character depth. The latest one had potential - with a plot revolving around time travel and alternate universes - but there have just been so many bad decisions. Like, for example, the main character is basically silent on your first runthrough and you have the option of reacting to the world with choices... that are, so far, all the same. Examples: Surrender to guards or fight them? Surrendering results in fighting them as well. Avoid the questions of your comrades or ignore them? Same thing. Ambush your enemies or take them by surprise? What.
Tales is basically Final Fantasy now. Villains have no motive beyond being colossal dickbags and almost none of the heroes have anything to do with the plot. This is selling like hotcakes, though, so why should they stop? Why make something new and dynamic, like they used to, when something that's a total ripoff sells so much better?
And Xillia 1 is such bullshit for killing off one of the manliest of manly men in the first act so that the political setup could go tossed aside for some global warming bullshit! What the hell, Namco?! Seriously, screw the environment!

@Samven- i was actually hoping for him to explode into a fireball. then everyone would be on the news with candlelight vigils and saying he's a hero, and so brave, just so I could be all like "no he wasn't. what kind of moron thinks it's a good idea to jump from the edge of space?"

I've just downloaded the RPG VXAce Lite.
I'll have to wait untill this afternoon to test it out and see what it has to offer, but I find it quite strange that they would release a toned down free version of their latest Maker now. But I guess I have to check it out before I can develop any kind of oppinion on that. (And that in a time in which I have no time at all for this. Couldn't this have been released on wendsday or something? After the math test? XD')
