 Wait, are they?  They're the same height (face-wise) as my other sprites, which are the same face-height as the standard-height RTP characters...   I can make some of the later updater a few pixels taller to balance it out maybe?

I'm sorry, it seems that I saved some thumbnails instead of their respective files.

  Ooh, pirates! I don't have any of those at the moment, but I'll keep that in mind! Maybe I'll do a pirate-themed area eventually.

For now, some more sand-themed sprites.   This one's a soldier wearing body armor and desert camo. He's also two pixels taller than the regular RTP sprites.

For this week's update, it's an elderly surveyor of the desert! This granny knows her way around the sand dunes (heck, she drew the map!), so if you want to learn about the next leg of your journey, she's the gal to ask.

It's come to my attention that some people in the community are now using the excuse of "free assets" as a "license" to train AI on those free assets.

While I have tried not to include legalese in this thread, I feel I need to add some notes.

I do not consent to my work being used to train AI.
I do not grant you license to copy my work for that use.

Yes, I am offering anything in this thread for you to use in your project for free, without monetary compensation.
No, it does not transfer copyright to you.

"Free" does not mean you "own" my work. You simply have a license to use a copy of it in your creative work.

"Free" also does not mean you are able to repackage MY work. This includes its use in AI training repositories.

By its very definition, I have sole copyright of my work. Sole right to make copies. Copy. Right.
Yes, I choose to offer you a copy for use in your creative work for free.
Again, no, it does not transfer copyright to you.  Legally, AI is not a creative work. By that legal definition you are not allowed to use my copyrighted work to train AI.

For those looking for free assets to train their AI on, this thread is not for you. Go elsewhere.

Oh, I've seen an uptick in people scraping free resources at itch and in forum threads everywhere with the intent to train their own models (not specifically nor limited to Save-Point).

Just felt I should put specific copyright language here to cover my bases as my original post was a bit vague. 

This isn't intended to be a slight on the forum! I'll stick around, this place rocks.
