DerVVulfman found something fitting to watch if you wanted to go Youtubing, fitting for those who are thrilled for the release of Baldur's Gate 3. But the spin on the video is something unexpected.

It is without a doubt that Israel's war against the Hamas Terror group was forefront in the News of the World this week, evidence proving that a rocket that struck a hospital was indeed from Hamas, Hamas preventing and even killing citizens trying to leave Gaza, and evidence of Iranian backing of Hamas. Though the border with Egypt is not open to refugees wishing to leave, the U.N. is sending humanitarian aid across. Shockwaves of the war, and protests legal and illegal, expanded worldwide. Many protested the BBC over its refusal to call Hamas out as a terrorist group. Meanwhile, a pro-Palestine insurrection protest at the Capital was found to have terrorist links. Bomb threats in France shutting down airports and Verssailles, deaths in Brussles, riots in Berlin, and so much more. A U.S. Pentagon aid accused of spying for Iran put on leave, a former German Chancellor with ties to Putin blaming Biden over no Ukraine peace deal, Greta Thunberg once again arrested for an illegal protest, the Mother and Daughter hostages released by Hamas, and well over a dozen more articles hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
Google once more appeared within the News of the Cyber World, the mainstream media now demanding full transparency from the tech giant in the sixth week of Google's Anti-Trust trial. And of another trial, a judge in Colorado ruled the use of Google to narrow down suspects. While the U.S. forsees a threat of Artificial Intelligence used for malicious activity, China creates its own initiative to control AI development, all while North Korea uses it to perform cyber-warfare. A conservative sentanced for posting a joke meme during the 2016 U.S. Presidential campaign, President Biden now joining Trump's Truth Social Networking service, six-thousand counts of censorship revealed across various online platforms, and more hit this week's cybernews.

Since revealed that Chinese Hackers breached Microsoft's cybersecurity, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) is now investigating the company since it also failed to reveal the May 2023 breach until recently.

For those who endeavor to let readers know What's up as an RMers, DerVVulfman's work to recreate windows-styled objects continues, finishing hls combobox. And not long after kyonides tested a harddrive identifying script, he quickly crafted a Drive listbox thereafter. Once done, he began working on a directory listbox that can depict a project's available folders. Because of lacking resources and a problem with the character maker he had been using, KasperKalamity suggested he may need to start over and queried about other RPG makers. Both DerVVulfman and Remi-chan suggested RPGMaker MV over MZ, but DerVVulfman, kyonides and Melana argued against restarting as other resource options exist.

Do you need something reminiscent of Dillinger or BabyFace Nelson? Or maybe you find that a darkness resides under the city streets. If so, consider that Eric Matyas does have Original Music and Sound FX which is available for free. He also has released some low fidelity editions of some creepy music for those working on games for Halloween contest events. But do remember that he also offers high higher-quality Ogg music packs for a fee.

Art and Design
A foreboding entity had appeared within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread, a maiden in a dark lavendar rainment of asian influence. But do not think her frail for her petite appearance. The scythe within her grasp is but a mere shade to the lethality of the smiling demoness. Along with the portrait of this evil, Remi-chan also delivered another speed draw of her work.

Well, that's it for this week.

Relief was on the mind of DerVVulfman as his recent kitchen power loss was resolved.

This week, the News of the World was tightly focused upon the war between Israel and the Hamas Terror group, though the UK's BBC has vehemently refused to acknowledge Hamas as such. Questions circle the U.S. Administration, for the timing of the $6 Billion released to Iran, but its release of a separate $700 Million to Jihadists in Palestine. Even as U.S. President Biden refuses to freeze the $6 Billion, Senate Republicans proposed legistlature to do just that. Atrocities by Hamas hit the news, threatening live-stream executions of hostages, the discovery of dead infants, and leaving actual knives within the bodies of slain children. Yet with all that, Harvard students, Black Lives Matter and muslims in Australia all side with Hamas. Anti-Semetic violence had risen since Israel declared war following the Hamas attack, France mobilizing 7000 soldiers after a stabbing, an assault against a student in New York, and the evacuation of the Louvre museum itself. And while Israel has been warning civilians to leave the Gaza strip where they plan to attack, Hamas has been making attempts to keep them in place as human shields. Immigration still hit the news this week as Egypt fortifies its own border against a possible flood of immigrants. And after the U.S. Homeland Security finally revealed that 35 thousand criminals were caught sneaking across the border, thousands being so-called 'special interest aliens' from the middle east, a massive call to end Biden's "Catch-And-Release" policy was made. A massive earthquake in Afghanistan, Lebanese officials warning against war with Israel, Iran issuing threats to Israel if it invades Gaza, the loss of Suzanne Somers, the political party shift in New Zealand, calls in France to deport all extremist aliens, the war between Russia and Ukraine, and much more was in this week's news.
*NOTE: The NOTW thread had 18K+ words. The severely condensed blurb in this week's post... 302 words.

Tech Talk
Lawsuits the recent Israeli/Hamas conflict, and disinformation hit the News of the Cyber World this week. Amazon is facing anti=trust lawsuits with third-party companies being forced to pay exorbitant rates and the IRS has charged Microsoft nearly $30Million in unpaid back taxes. Black Lives Matter deleted a tweet showing support for Hamas, and U.S. Congresswoman Ilhan Omar retweeted entirely false information against Israel that Twitter/X confirmed was actually a 2015 Sudanese atrocity. While the E.U. warns Musk and Twitter/X over disinformation threats, Facebook/Meta is actively promoting advertisements to support Israel's destruction. That, AI tools twisting information, Apple Airtags linked to high-tech stalking, and much more was in this week's cybernews.

If you wondered What's up with your fellow RMers this week, kyonides had developed qualms about RPGMakerWeb and how some within found fault with someone whose experience was founded with the Playstation edition and not familiar with the Compress Game Data feature. DerVVulfman expressed his curiosity of the Compress feature, but focused mainly on his WIndows Widgets project, finishing the remake of his scrolling list widget, and began working upon a combo or dropdown list widget. And within two days, Remi-chan made a video about her experience in game development.

A month ago, there was a serious BACKLASH WITH THE UNITY ENGINE OVER A PRICE CHANGE, users finding they were going to have to pay fees for anyone who installed their generated games or software. There was so much outcry that they had to revise the policies and deliver an apology. But this week, the big news was that John Riccitiello, Unity's CEO, announced his retirement.

Who would want to get out during bad weather? Would snowfall not slow you down? That was the premise for the latest update kyonides had given Falkoner. Now for the RMXP and VXAce editions, rainy conditions and snowfall will affect the scouting avian's speed and mobility.

A new visual feature appears within the OpenChest system by kyonides. Now you can update the visual backdrop and text title of the containers.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
For those who seek to craft a game during the spooky month, do remember that Eric Matyas has a collection of Original Music and Sound Effects which includes a Horror category. Again, he chose to re-record two of his works into low-fidelity editions, these being a horrifying climactic piece entitled "Surrealization" and "Castle of Horrors" which could be used for exploring any area filled with the macabre.

Well, that's it for this week.

Power outages was on the Mind of DerVVulfman as many outlets died in his kitchen. This was only two months after a previous repair.

It hardly needs to be said, but the recent Terror Attack against Israeli civilians struck this week's News of the World. The response from the international community was fast, the U.S. deploying ships to send munitions while Germany suspends all aid to Palestine as Palestine celebrated the attack. When it comes to immigration, problems are worldwide. Two migrants from Palestine and Algeria escaped a prison in France and violent migrants attempted to enter Poland at the Belarus border. The nation of Senegal is intercepting boat after boat of migrants fleeing to Europe. And after New York City's Mayor Adams traveled to Latin America to beg illegal aliens to come, DHS Alejandro Mayorkas gives official orders to build section of the wall where illegal crossings are the highest and U.S. President Biden admits the money set aside during the Trump Administration must be used for the wall construction. The conflict between Ukraine and Russia continues, Russia decimating a village during a funeral with a precision missile strike as they hypocritically try to return to the U.Nm Human Rights Council. Of the late Wagner Chief Prigozhin, Putin claims he accidentally killed himself with a grenade. And in a strange turn, Russia accidentally revealed sensitive information about its own spies by releasing the wrong documents. Climate Change is being confronted on both sides of the Atlantic, auto-workers saying their jobs are at stake while 800 climate spy cameras were eliminated in the UK. U.S. President Biden's son pleads Not Guilty to gun charges, Ukraine blasts China as sponsoring Russia's aggression, the feud between India and Canada deepens, the loss of Dick Butkus, and more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
It appears that Artificial Intelligence is going to dominate the News of the Cyber World as the use of Robin Williams's voice and a simulation of Tom Hanks without permission brought forth rage. Meanwhile, it was uncovered that ChatGPT is politically biased with its directives intentionally concealed. Google is in serious legal trouble with antitrust lawsuits, and a RICO lawsuit with both H&R Block and Facebook. Amazon now being sued by the FTC over price fixing, new Electric Car manufacturer Rivian is losing money every time a car is sold, and much more hit this week's cybernews.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Accomplishments occurred for some of our RMers if curious What's up, such as Remi-chan astonished the first demo for her new game was done in a month. With that done, she decided to start working on a little developer's backstory video. Meanwhile, DerVVulfmna managed to recreate a scrolling listbox that functions better within his current Windows objects project. KasperKalamity wondered if there were opinions regarding RPGMaker Unite, whereby both DerVVulfman and Remi-chan chose to voice disapproval of the system. Even kyonides was surprised at the shoddy game development experience. Meanwhile, kyonides has thoughts of returning to and expanding the capabilities of two of his earlier works.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
As Eric Matyas continues Sharing His Original Music, he too continues creating low-fidelity reworks of his earlier compositions. For the Halloween Season, he remastered two of his more ominous pieces, "Dark Lands" featuring instruments such as pipe organs that give an eerie cathedralesque quality, and "Confrontation" with heavy distorted bass guitar work in a rhytmic manner to give any cyberpunk game a feel of approaching dread.

Well, that's it for this week.

The entrance that Zy'bh'h O'fipv'i was a bit odd, delivering messages in a cryptic and animated manner. Though DerVVulfman seemed to recognize the writing fonts used, and advised Zy'bh'h to post in something easier to understand. And then chastized by Remi-chan the very next time she posted.

General Chat
For some, the U.S. facing a governent shutdown over funds may have been the News of the World, that or a Democrat congressman Jamaal Bowman caught on video pulling a fire alarm is under threat of expulsion for attempting to delay the funding vote. Issues with migrants is world-wide as Hungary declares a crisis of its own, Italy just last week. But Billionare Mike Bloomberg suggests flooding the U.S. even more, claiming the actual citizens are the problem and not the migrants. It has been nearly thirty (30) years since the death of Rapper Tupak Shakur, but now an arrest was finally made. But of deaths, Michael Gambon, known more recently for his role as Dumbledor in the Harry Potter films, passed away at 82. And U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein at 90. Another Black Lives Matter activist guilty of stealing thousands in donations, Mexican politicians caught on camera trying to buy congressmen, Zelensky hosting an Arms Manufacturing conference to boost weapons manufacturing, Cher accused of orchestrating the kidnapping of her own son, and much more hit this week's news.

Near the end of the week, kyonides began a topic to discuss Videogames You Should Stay Away From, a topic to discuss or warn people away from games before they spend a dime upon them. He began with his issues with 2014's Divinity 2: Developer's Cut, it being followed up by KasperKalamity's lament over Civilization VI from 2016.

Games Development
Development Discussion
As it has been for a few weeks, the work on windows-styled object has been What's up with RMers like DerVVulfman, providing pics, animated gifs and videos of his progress. Being fond of strategy card games, KasperKalamity wondered if anyone would be interested in joining him in a collaboration. Meanwhile, KasperKalamity displayed his means to have multiple random encounter zones. Talk on breaking the 500x500 map tile limit existed between KasperKalamity and DerVVulfman. Steel Beast 6Beets celebrated his 10th anniversary in the forum. Kyonides contemplated a system to apply states to equipment, but feared battlesystem rewrites. And Remi-chan pushed forward and released the trailer for her new game project, Flight.

Early this week, meustrus inquired if anyone had experience in RPG making with Godot. She sees a lot of potential with the latest edition, something to consider using as she's spent quite some time with Unity, and was looking for resources. Remi-chan was the first to reply, admitting she spent most of her time with RPGMaker engines, but none with Godot. However, she suggested using RPGMaker resources for temp graphics at the very least. Since meustrus has been the maker of RPGMaker works and has a license, then there should be little to no problem.

Upcoming Projects
Anyone up for a game with a comic book feel? If so, then you may enjoy the fact that KasperKalamity is planning to give Arbor's Eve a comic book page-flipping introduction.

At long last, the Announcement Trailer for BlueSkies 3 has been released. Starmage's trailer showcases the plot, the world, and the gameplay of BlueSkies 3, as she has for her other works.

If you are interested in viewing the new character designs for Stellar Bewitching Remastered, Starmage presents to us a video of Berry B's artwork.

The latest work of Remi-chan's Esoteric Triagonal Universe takesFLIGHT. Indeed, Flight is a game that reveals the events that happened between one of Remi-chan's earlier works and her newer end-game, Fantasia. The nymph who faced a threat that even the gods feared now found herself forced to settle down. And that did not sit right for her. A fairy-tale realm in the clouds, new friends to find, battles to face, Fyori had a yearning fancy for all of this rather than face her greatest foe... the boring lifestyle her mum tried to force upon her. That was not going to sit well for her. As her style, Remi-chan developed another bullet-hell combat system, but with an immense amount of flourish and control.

Material Development
Tools
This week, kyonides found he had to downgrade the SDL (Simple DirectSound Layer) software with his linux port of HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable, returning it to version 1 to keep the sound effects play correctly. Meanwhile, he configured the engine to disable the Font Outline effect at start for RPGMaker XP / VX users as normal; the font's outline property of course still available.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
More low-fidelity track conversions are available within the collective Original Music and Sounds by Eric Matyas, conversions of his previous works. Urban sounding in origin, you can find looping main menu themes and something for those who want to be stealthy of sneaky sneaks.

Art and Design
Sometimes architecture takes on something new, new shapes, new forms, new colors. And it is new colors that you find within the Massive Library of Free Images that Eric Matyas has been building. Not one, but four tileable set of brickwork were crafted this week, but all four in some touch of dark hunter's green.

Well, that's it for this week.

Near the end of the week, meustrus appeared. A member of the RPG Maker community from 2002 to 2009, she made many popular scripts including the pseudo-3d "Mode7" script available at ChaosProjects. She's been working on and off upon a 3D tilemap renderer for Unity, and thought a smaller community like ours fit her more suitably than a larger entity such as RPGMakerWeb. She was greeted by an apparently very-shocked DerVVulfman who remembered her works, and let her know that Unity Tags for her endeavors were present. And she was greeted by kyonides who was pleased to see another RPGMaker XP veteran appear.

General Chat
For many nations, immigration issues are the News of the World as the U.S. Biden Adminstration grants photo ID for those crossing illegally, and gives amnesty to 18 Thousand from the Afghanistan withdrawl who could not be vetted. Meanwhile, Italy's Prime Minister calls out the European Union over their open border policy, stating its making human traffickers richer. And UK Brexit leader Nigel Farage is at odds over the Labour Party's border an immigration plan. Things heat up within the U.S. Congress as the first Impeachment Inquiry into President Joe Biden is scheduled this up-coming Thursday. But already passed was Congress's summons of the Attorney General over his handling of justice, letting statue of limitations against the President's son's dealings with Burisma expire, the notes to the FBI to call out parents groups and catholics as dangerous, and the revelation that a man caught on video for two days straight calling for the January 6 riots to get misdemeanor charges. Climate activists defacing Berlin Landmarks, a climate scientist denouncing his own published wildfires study for leaving out other influencing factors, a missing $1 million dollar plane, Canada and India coming to a head, and much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
Lawsuits and legalities his the News of the Cyber World this week, an anti-trust lawsuit against Google for leveraging the market, paying other companies to define their search engine as a standard above all others. And British comedian Steven Fry, from V for Vendetta or as Mycroft Holmes in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, gave a stark warning of A.I. being able to clone voices as he played a clip at the CogX Festival of an AI system mimicking his voice to narrate a documentary. Walmart is working with lobbyists to create a new credit-card routing mandate that would strip away rewards and anti-fraud protection, while falsely advertising the bill as a 'Competition protection' act. Musk's less-than-desired subscription quota for SpaceX, Russell Brand's Youtube videos demonetized, and more hit this week's cyber-news.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Project developments and fixes were What's up with some of the forum's RMers this week. DerVVulfman continued with his windows widgets project, being able to introduce a visible parameter into two problematic windows objects. He then crafted number-boxes, and later introduced image graphic options to much of the widgets, allowing both the backgrounds and window bars to be altered at whim. Meanwhile, kyonides found that Linux's FluidSynth library had a major update, and later had to determine what issue with the SDL Sound system was preventing playback of digital audio music after a sythensized Midi piece had finished.

There was so much BACKLASH AGAINST UNITY'S PRICE CHANGE that over 500 Developers joined the Advertisement-blocking protest against their runtime fee. Unity began backtracking, but perhaps it was too late. A European Trade Group asked governments to scrutinize Unity's trade practices, and develop new regulations to curb any monopolistic behavior. What happpened before the week ended was a formal apology issued by the man who leads the Unity engine and editor teams. The revised regulations remove any fees from the personal edition of Unity and apply its pricing structure only to Professsional and Enterprise edition users. Said pricing is also dependent upon the country where the product is produced, which made DerVVulfman question why such lower prices were given to the developers of Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail. There was negative feedback over Unity's pricing to be sure, and this within the forum; Bounty Hunter Lani saying that trust with Unity had now vanished while Re-Logic (the makers of Terraria) donated $100,000+ to Godot and FNA, Remi-chan scolding Unity as teams would need to spend months to years to convert their works away from Unity to any game engine, and kyonides made suggestions that Unity would attempt to force users to upgrade to one of the fee-producing editions.

Material Development
Tools
The HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable for Linux users went through another update, fixing an issue related to the new FluidSynth library and the SLD Sound Fork that was within the MKXP library. But while the issues that were repaired for the music tracks, the Sound Effects are suffering from a division-by-zero glitch that he encountered once the new FluidSynth library was introduced.

Scripts Database
For both RPGMaker VX and VXAce, kyonides crafted KSkillMsg which allows the user to change the message that appears when a hero or enemy executes the escape skill to exit combat. String replacement options for a variety of skill escapes for actors and enemies were introduced not long thereafter.

This week, kyonides was asked to re-adjust the HUD for Falkoner, setting up HUD background variations.

Just recently, the Aleworks Input Mouse Sprite Add-On made by DerVVuflfman added a crash-preventative update which also allows end-users to set the hue of the mouse cursor being loaded.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Continuing with his low-fidelity conversion project, Eric Matyas's Original Music and Sound topic reveals three tracks from his Science-Fiction music page now have lo-fi versions. Herald back to the 80s cyber and synth era with pieces like "Stranded in the Outer Rim" and "Alien Colosseum". While the music is very much available for free in MP3 music, he does recommend his Ogg versions for their richer sound and seamless looping capacity.

Art and Design
It may appear wholesome and sweet, seeing two at a picnic, but viewers should note within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! that one of the two has a scythe in hand. If the scene appears familiar, Remi-chan did reveal this scene within her prose thread, Remi-chan's Writing Snippets~, detailing a calm time spent between her two most lethal antagonists. And as usual, this work has a speed-draw video attached.

Well, that's it for this week.

(September 11 to September 17, 2023)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
General Chat
Its been a while, but KDC updated his topic that lists Videogames that celebrate Birthdays. He just added Tower of Fantasy to the list, whereby you receive a message from the arrogant Guren Blade wielding Claudia, along with a gift and birthday cake healing item.

The release of $6 Billion to Iran for six prisoners hit the News of the World this week, the U.S. claiming Iran would only use it for humanitarian purposes while the Ayatollah states otherwise. Where does military hardware end up? This week, the weapons left behind by Biden's Afghanistan retreat ended up used by terrorists attacking Pakistan, and police raided some New IRA terrorists and found Russian ammunition obtained from the Ukraine/Russia frontlines. And migrant crossings are problematic worldwide, as Italy received a surge of 5000 from 100 boats in a single day while NYC has to cut wages to pay for their immigration problem. But this won't stop human traffickers who find the the illegal practice booming. The Impeachment Inquiry against U.S. President Biden already being impeded by the White House, Cubans in Russia to fight in the war, a U.K. staffer arrested as a spy for China, Nike deems Portland too dangerous to open a store, a Portuguese town flooded by wine, and more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
Lawsuits hit the News of the Cyber World this week as Google is facing anti-trust lawsuits, and a class-action lawsuit hits Meta and OpenAI over copyright claims as the company scrapes thousands of books to train their AI. News is even worse for Meta as Facebook got caught blocking/banning searches related to Covid. President Biden having a fourth hidden eMail account, TikTok hit with a $370 Million fine over privacy, Apple's iPhone 12 radiation issue, and more hit this week's Cyber-News.

This week, Chinese Hackers cracked the account of an engineer at Microsoft to forge authentication tokens. With these, the hackers gained access to Microsoft's Cloud servers including those belonging to Government officials. Of course, China has repeatedly denied such activities.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If anyone is wondering What's up with fellow RMers, DerVVulfman is still laboring upon his Windows object collection for RPGMaker XP. He crafted a working dropdown menu system and upgraded the right-click list system. He then made the dropdown list menu display the name of the currently selected item in the scrolling list within the dropdown's title. Meanwhile, Remi-chan showed off new video footage of her next game, adding nearly everything she wants in her battlesystem while touching up her maps with wildlife activity.

For anyone who either plays or develops games with Unity, there was severe NEWS ABOUT UNITY'S PRICE CHANGES CAUSING BACKLASH all around. They chose to change their pricing system so every time a game is installed, the developer had to fork over a fee to Unity. There were protests throughout the market, worries that individuals install-bomb a game maker to harm him financially, finding that small develpers would be harmed, or the general greed of Unity itself. In response to the price change, an open letter was produced by mobile game developers, protesting by boycotting Unity advertisements. By the end of the week, Unity went to X (formerly Twitter) to put forth an apology of sorts, and made claim they were going to make changes to their policies in the near future.

Complete Projects
Appearing now within Save-Point is An Essay on Insipidity, a 2020 game by CarlosDavilla, and the first of his Essay Trilogy. A game made to deliberately be bad, it was made within a week using RPGMaker MZ with its Run Time Package. A traditional JRPG which he updated in 2021, you battle enemies across the map to reach the Demon King.

Upcoming Projects
With recent events that have been reported with the Unity engine, KDC lucked out by not having started development of Temporal Conflict as yet. His plans had not changed other than now looking to download the Unreal Engine and experiment with it to gain familiarity.

In a varity of Tile-based RPG systems, the mappers may have found that some doorway resources may go beyond the tile's traditional width. In some cases, the resources are double in width which could cause issue when using them for triggerable map events. So for those map creators using the Ruby script editions of RPGMaker, kyonides unveiled the Large Door Fix.

Early this week, kyonides was asked to include a HUD within his Falkoner systems, though he felt that the system did not really have a need. It wasn't until later that he made the recently added Heads Up Display as an optional feature and not fixed.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Continuing his recent trend in releasing low-fidelity renditions of his Original Music and Sound Effects, Eric Matyas has chosen three pieces from his Dark and Ominous categories. If you wish to emote a dark and uneasy feeling in a science fiction environment, "Strangeness" may be perfect. However, "Arrival" should peak your interest if you want to project that something malevolent is about to appear.

Art and Design
If you are looking for rough textures, you may want to check the Massive Library of Free Images being built by Eric Matyas. This week, he released a dark grainy stone texture and a matching dark folliage with some red and green leaves. However, you will need to scroll down to the Seamless Textures heading on his Vegitation page to find the latter. Do remember that all of Eric's contents are free for use, but contributions are welcome.

Well, that's it for this week.

Large Door Fix
XP + VX + ACE

by Kyonides

Introduction

Have you ever noticed that all doors that are more than 32 pixels wide are automatically centered by the default event scripts?

There is a reason for that effect. They are supposed to be used as a single event that is wide enough for your heroes to slip into important buildings or dangerous dungeons. Nonetheless, that doesn't look quite good while waiting to enter a modern or futuristic supermarket, does it?

That's exactly why you need to grab this script! Grinning

It will make it possible to use it as if you had placed 2 door events in a row. Winking

Happy with a sweat Actually, the other door event should display NO graphic.

In both VX and VX ACE, that event's priority should be set to Same as Character's.

Remember that the filename should ALWAYS include some @ at symbol.

For RMXP

Code:

(September 4 to September 10, 2023)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
New to the forum and new to the community at large is LegionBreaker. He figures he will be more the quiet type, but may wish to join in a conversation if it peaks his interest. Greeted he was this week by DerVVulfman who pointed out a few skills of which he may have talent.

General Chat
It appears the it is a season for games to be on sale, and they again appear to be What's on the mind of kyonides. And finding games on GOG may appeal to some as he did remind that you need not be on Steam, or tracked by Steam, to play these classic games. But now he has some new games, including some sandbox games, to entertain him for some weeks if not months.

The things one may find if you ask the right person the question of "What are YouTubing?" may garner a real laugh. For this week, DerVVulfman found that someone recreated a classic Tom & Jerry cartoon with characters from a popular action Gatcha game.

This week, the News of the World was saddened by the thousands that died and were injured in the disastrous Morocco Earthquake. The war between Ukraine and Russia continues as Putin establishes deals with Turkey as he blows up Ukraine's ports. But Russia ousted by Cuba, finding that Russia was promoting fake construction jobs and coercing Cubans to fight in their armies. The phrase Islamic Extremism is frowned upon, but a Mosque in Birmingham was found to preach the stoning of women and waging Jihad, a group linked to ISIS was busted in Austria, and Pakistan was attacked by Afghani terrorists with the weapons the Biden Administration left behind in the disastrous 2021 evacuation. Within the U.S, Illegal Immigration is a hotbed as NYC's mayor says the city will be destroyed by it while funding a housing project for those that have illegally entered. But little is being done to stop the flow, the Biden administration launching a hiring initiative for illegal aliens and attempting to slip amnesty for all illegals into legistlation. Chinese Nationals busted over 100 times entering sensitive U.S. sites, Biden's recent gaffs in Vietnam over the Robin Williams movie, over 1600 scientists including Nobel Lauriets criticizing and challenging climate change rhetoric, an Appeals Court ruling the Biden Administration did violate free speech, and much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week's News of the Cyber World found that the contact-less payment system for New York subways is susceptible to creditcard abuse. And both the Gemini North and South Telescopes used by NOIRLab and smaller telescopes in Cerro Tolodo Chile were shut down by cyber-attacks. Criticism over Tesla's proposed Cybertruck and a bank in the U.K. refusing business over political beliefs also hit this week's cybernews.

Games Development
Development Discussion
If you were curious What's up with the forum's RMers, DerVVulfman has been working upon the windows-like control system, fixing issues he has with his icon-based list system. He returned later stating he fixed most of the issues, and provided a list of commands that can manipulate the list's appearance. Meanwhile, Remi-chan presents early stages of the next game she has planned while waiting for some resources for her current work. With two youtube videos, you can see that flight is highly stressed in the game and uses both keyboard movement and mouse targeting in another bullet-hell system.

Material Development
Scripts Database
Early this week, DerVVulfman created the Aleworks Input Mouse Sprite Add-On, a script that allows one to use a custom sprite cursor for Alework's AIM system. By creating its own sprite, it solves an issue with the mouse cursor vanishing when entering fullscreen mode. However, DerVVulfman returned to the script at the end of the week to deal with a visual issue, removing the sprite's visibility if the mouse cursor is no longer over the game screen.

To fulfull another request, kyonides revisited Falkoner to offer users the ability to use the same key command to activated and deactivate your scouting avian.

Resource Requests
Earlier this week, kyonides was in search of a Balloon Sprite for RPGMaker XP, one that had the same basic dimensions as a traditional RTP sprite. It wasn't long before he reported he was directed to two other sites that contained RPGMaker XP resources; PandaMaru's Website and HungryMouse's Resources.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Even more low-fidelity versions of Eric Matyas's Original Music is Shared this week. A revised edition of "The Island of Dr. Sinister", slow and sinister the melody while the wood percussion block taps hectically. And the lo-fi edition of "More Freaky Things This Way Come" may make one thing they're at a Pink Floyd concert gone horribly wrong.

Art and Design
If you need some more wood textures, look no further than the Massive Library of Free Images by Eric Matyas. This week he added two more artistic wood textures, the first being a set of yellowish wood planks that have some vertical scarring while the second being a pale wood crosscut with dark grains and reddish mottling.

Well, that's it for this week.
