Err, that depends a lot on what kind of game your talking about. For instance, RM software usually runs fine on Proton 7.0, and I think it's the same for games like FF7 or FF8. Recent games like those released in the last couple of years might run better on version 9.0, I'd say.
I see. Makes me wonder what version of Proton made Umamusmue: Pretty Derby run on my SSD. Probably Version 9. But good to know what version of Proton to use for the RPG Makers I have on Steam.
