Chauvin Found Guilty

Trial over George Floyd Convicts
Verdict will be upheld by the Facts

Judge Jeanine Pirro agreed with a Minnesota jury's guilty verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. She suggests that if it was up for an appeal, the facts will support the guilty verdicts.

I've tried many murder cases, and I've sat as a judge on murder cases. It is rare that you even get a picture of the victim in a murder case ... but here, we had a living, breathing person that the jury was able to relate to. ... This was an emotional as well as an intellectual decision. And when I say that, make no mistake: The facts are solid on this verdict. This verdict will be upheld on appeal.

Chauvin was found guilty on all three counts; Second Degree Manslaughter, Third Degree Murder and Second Degree Murder. It will be two months before sentencing, but the Prosecution wishes to levy additional charges during sentencing.

States her 'confrontational' protest remarks could fuel appeal

I hope we get a verdict that says guilty, guilty, guilty. We've got to stay on the street, and we've got to get more active. We've got to get more confrontational.  We've got to make sure that they know that we mean business.

Maxine Waters openly said this to reporters when asked if Chauvin was acquitted. Because of her comments, Chauvin's attorney asked the Judge for a mistrial, arguing her comments had influenced the jury.

Now that we have U.S. representatives threatening acts of violence in relation to the specifics of this specific case, it’s mind-boggling to me.

I wish elected officials would stop talking about this case, especially in a manner that is disrespectful to the rule of law. I think if they want to give their opinions, they should do so respectfully and in a manner that is consistent with their oath to the Constitution, to respect a coequal branch of government.

Jojje Olson received an eMail demanding that he stop writing articles critical about China, accusing him of spreading misinformation and inciting anti-Chinese sentiments. Two years ago, the Swedish Democratic Party proposed that the Chinese ambassador, Gui Congyou, be labeled as unwelcome as he's known to threaten journalists and politicians alike. For this, the Swedish government had summoned Gui Congyou multiple times to remind him that Freedom of Speech is guaranteed, and repeatedly asked him to respect Swedish law and said they would not accept his threats.

Giraffs Ride a Gi-Raft to Safety

Water levels had been on a rise in Kenya, moreso this past year. This stranded nine Rothschild giraffes which had to be transported one-at-a-time to the Ruko Community Wildlife Conservancy. For this, they made a custom-made barge with tall sides, buoyed by 60 empty drums.
