This article tells you that even if Democrats feel like he might be breaking the law, there's the Insurrection Act that might allow him to put an end to riots.

A bit of a correction in phrasing which nay-sayers keep pushing. These are not Federal Troops that have gone into Portland Oregon, but Federal Agents. They are not military, but law enforcement. And they have full legal authority and the actual legal obligation to protect Federal Property. Hell, let's recall that Mayor Ted Wheeler had abdicated his responsibility to protect the citizenry, allowing this to continue.

Does it make sense that the City Council wanted to prevent the police from working with Federal Agents to step the violence? Oregon's U.S. Attorney thought it was stupid. And he demands that the violent extremists get the hell out. It has been going on for two months.

You get ridiculous articles like "troops sweeping peaceful citizens off the streets", but that is bogus. The Citizenry is getting fed up as Community Members condemn the Nightly Violence

On Friday night I counted 82 explosions house full of gas. I’m on the 12 floor here it reminded me of being in Iraq and my experience of being Iraq not here in Portland not where it’s supposed to be safe not where it’s supposed to be peaceful.

These people aren’t about Black Lives and they don’t represent me.

I think it’s the leftists co opting the black lives matter movement. We have to somehow bring it back on point and we’re going to have to have a bigger voice than that of the leftists that have co opted this movement to take the attention from what really matters and what really matters is justice.

Even a leader within the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People had to criticize the leftists for "co opting" and hijacking the movement for their own gain.
