 What's Your Phobia?

What's Your Phobia?

Everyone is scared of something, whether it be ghosts, height, or spiders. It is human nature to be scared of something as well. So I am asking you:

Some ideas
  • What are you scared of?
  • Why are you scared of this?
  • What has happened in which you have gotten scared?
  • What is the worse you have been scared?
  • Do these things you are scared of hinder you life in anyway?
Everyone has a fear guys and gals, and its best to share these experiences with the world. You might get a good chuckle from it as well. I understand this list is not the best, so please, be encouraged to strive off it, as again, my list isnt superb. :3

I'm scared of fish. Really -- it's not that bad anymore, but I used to have nightmares of fish like this:

WARNING DISTURBING IMAGE AHEAD

Ugh... my stomach hurts now... I can't even even fish without chopping off or hiding the head first, which really sucks since I'm Asian and all and fish is pretty much a staple part of my diet. I never used to be afraid of fish, but I guess coming home after kindergarten and seeing my precious goldfish half-gobbled up and jammed in the filter while the other goldfish swam around nonchalantly traumatized me.

Heh, but like I said, I seem to have gotten over the fear a tiny bit so I can't really classify it as a phobia. I even have a little betta fish floating around in a tank, and it's pretty fun to play with. (If you ever get one, find a mirror and put it up to the glass. It's hilarious)

It's called phobia for a reason dude, hahah. Don't need any logic to support it.

I'm scared of failure. Being unable to provide for my friends and family. It's quite bad. I used to have a nightmare where my family was getting robbed or murdered and my body literally froze. I couldn't move. I watched as bad things happened and I could do nothing about it.

But more tangible things would be scorpions and (big) spiders. Once spiders get hair, it's freaky. I don't know why I'm afraid of them, I just am. Give me snakes, fishes, I don't care, but keep those fucking spiders away!

I can relate to that.

And it look like spiders are a very, very common phobia. It seems that for every ten or so people I've met, one of them's afraid of those little arachnids. Maybe it's a part of human instinct? Hmm.

I don't know. I know a lot of people like that too.
It's only when the things start growing hair is when I get a little freaked out. Small spiders I don't mind.

I 'used' to be afraid of heights... big time, But at work, I learned to say gabye to the ladder and start climbing up the shelves in the warehouse for speed sake. Meh. Overcame it.

I have claustrophobia, once got locked into my ex gf's bathroom and i freaked out. Nearly knocked the door down to get out.

Also mocking what people are afraid of gets you nowhere, a phobia by definition is an irrational fear. It may seem harmless or normal to you but to the person affected its like a spawn of Satan.
