 What are electronic cigarettes?

No, cause smoking is a crash for health and budget. Sarcasm + Tongue sticking out
"The things I always protect never change!" - Sakata Gintoki, Gintama.
"Two people dying separately? No. If we die, we'll die together." - Suigintou, Rozen Maiden.
And sorry for my mistakes in English words, if I do it.

I smoke real cigarettes all the time. Since my cartridges are coffee, they're more of a dessert cigarette. I smoke Camel Menthols on the reg. Another reason for it is the fact you have to charge your ecigs and I forget all the time.

Yeah, but don't you have to go and buy cigarettes anyway?!

There's been a local(meaning where I am) study that's been going on about these, apparently they're not much better for you than they're leading on, or there's a side effect triggered by switching.

BUT, there's been a snag in their research which the e-cigarette companies are coming back with, they say that 100% of their customers are ex-smokers so any damage caused is due to smoking cigarettes.

So I guess the only way to confirm or deny any effects is to see what and if something happens to people who only use these.

Personally I've not tried them before, actually I've never seen where to buy them. I might try them if I could find where to though.

A lot of places don't carry them. Or rather; won't. You know how many places sell cigarettes but offer no quitting aids? No patches, or gum or these electric cigarettes. The market distributors prefers clientele who buy cigarettes over those who buy for a shorter term. Which is funny since cigarettes have a good guarantee of shortening your shopping time spent on the big blue covered rock, no?

Where I live there's been a HUGE attempt to try to get the public to quit smoking. The taxes are ridiculous, more than gas prices. I talked to someone who still manages to buy a pack at a deli and only break a 10, I was jealous I admit. Costs here can run you 11 or 12 bucks. Which is probably why there's such a boom in the "black market", though it's really gray stores. Reservations and stuff.

But they've bought TV ad time, and opened huge opportunities to get months, even a years supply of nicotine patches and/or gum. And there's been a lot of buzz over somehow forcing carriers and sellers of cigarette, and other tobacco products, to carry quitting aids. It stopped dead in it's tracks. Tobacco biz wouldn't have it. Got deep pockets, but also long fingers. Generous to friends. That and many of the chain stores don't want, though they never said outright, or even loud, you to buy these products.

It would be like selling a gadget that makes you never drink milk again. Who would go to the market to buy milk, when you ain't gonna drink it? Stupid product to back if you're wallets on the decline, and you own such a stock in the sales of milk.

Stupid thing about that is it's basically the same as the fear of progress.
People don't want things to change because how they are suits them fine and change is scary.

These people need to understand that backing these products can create new markets and new opportunites. Rather than running away they should start diversifying and learning about it.

The same can be said about different forms of energy: PULL YOUR FINGER OUT PEOPLE!
