General Chat
In the US, the News of the World is divided mainly between the issue of immigration and the disappearance of "Today Show's Savannah Guthrie’ mother. A new ransom demand, the reveal of the identifiable Walmart brand backpack, and the DNA found in a disgarded glove which may point to one of the current suspects were top stories. But is the Sheriff up for the job given the lack of competence the past two weeks? And with Immigration, appeals courts have been ruling in favor of the Trump Administration while activist judges have demanded illegals returned while releasing those with attempted murder and child sex crime convictions. And as Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis is coming to an end with the arrest of 4,000 illegal alien criminals involved in rape, murder and child molestation charges, ICE also rescued over 3000 migrant children that were among the 300,000 lost under the prior Biden administration. The Russia invasion of Ukraine continues, and Kyiv's foreign minister said only US President Trump can get the two nations to final peace talks, this as Russia fired off hundreds of drones. While the war wages, Ukraine's wartime innovations actively spurred economic growth. Their advanced drone technology proven against Moscow's forces now becoming hot property for NATO forces. The newest technology, their ‘Sunray’ laser can silently take out Russian drones at a fraction of the cost of like defensive weapons. Such are necessary as Russia's Presiden Putin's child indoctrination of program startled millions. In the middle east, another US Aircraft Carrier strike group is slated join the the USS Abraham Lincoln in an effort to put more pressure on Iran to reach a nuclear deal and end their weapons program, and in support for those protesting against the brutality coming from Tehran. Of brutality, the Nobel committee had confirmed that Nobel peace laureate Narges Mohammadi has been beaten nearly to death while wasting away in Iran's prison system. Violent crime plummeting across major U.S. cities with murder rates fallen to its lowest in over a century, the transgender high school dropout who gunned down his family and six others in British Columbia, US Attorney General Bondi blasting back at Democrats who didn't touch the Epstein scandal while Biden was president, a water leak in the Louvre damaging its most valuable paintings from the 19th century, the New York Times reverses course and acknowledges dangers of marijuana use, North Korea's 13-year-old heiress at deadly odds against her ruthless aunt over succession, the death of "Dawson's Creek" co-star James Van Der Beek’s at 48, and more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
In this week's News of the Cyber World, issues with predators were forefront. In New Mexico, a former executive from Meta relayed how his own teenage daughter was bombarded with sexual propositions and indecent content by predators the moment she made her first Instagram account. OpenAI fired a female executive claiming sexual discrimination, she claiming the allegation a cover as she fought against ChatGPT's “adult mode” option and their incompetent child safety measures. Meanwhile, the FTC blasted Apple for violating consumer protection laws after a study was releast showing a complete political bias in news reports by their own editorial team. Russia's attempt to restrict free speech even further, Discord's teen safety rollout plans and the Conduent data breach and ransomware attack in New Jersey also hit this week's cybernews.

Forum Games & Nonsense
It has been a while since DerVVulfman found a funny story from a Dungeons and Dragons tabletop game. But this week, he discovered a tale where someone described Cringiest CharacterEver Played as it was relayed from the perspective of the game's referee. A humorous tale, DerVVulfman noted the youtube poster for this tale, though the poster himself apparently read the story.

A very good question was posed by Ace_V, and that was how one couldskills that never miss, and a status that causes skills to never miss. Indeed, some of his enemies have a very high evasion score, and he wanted to have heroes that could breath through and defeat such dodging abilities. DerVVulfman put together a script and explained a key point in RPGMaker XP where the enemy's ability to evade was checked. But then added he wrote and posted a separate script sometime later.

RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine
This week, DerVVulfman issued updates to three script threads belonging to Zeriab, noting dead links and providing copies of his work in their place. He discovered that Zeriab had a mediafire link to his Disc Changer scipt before his website and sendspace links went down. And provided the scripts to both his Anti Lag System and Caterpillar scripts, going so far as to creating a whole new demo for both.

DerVVulfman noticed that the link to the Character Transitions demo by Rataime was down. However, he was able to upload a replacement after performing an update to the decades old system so it could work with the newer version of RPGMaker XP.

After an early work to solve a coding problem, DerVVulfman put together a script he dubbed No Dodge / Not Today. It returns the ability for attacks to ignore a target's dodge or evade score, but extended to work with skills, status effects and more.

For those who found the character of Ivy to be popular, you can find more facial expressions for her among the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V. Just as he had done last week, Ace_V has expanded more upon how this green haired maiden behaves with sighs, surprises and much more.

Music and Audio
Self reflection is one thing you can always count as a major theme within DoubleX Music Room as his latest piece reflects upon wanting to better one's self and what may be if one takes shortcuts that goes against their ethics. His sixty-eighth song, Rotten To The Core begins with musted brass and the tinkling of a glockenspiel symbolizing innocence while laboring at a slow pace, but overshadowed by the corruptive sounds of an electric keyboard only for choirs to appear to warn and lament over the past choices made.

Art and Design
A new gallery has opened within the vaulted halls of the forum's museum of art. So please, be our guest and gaze upon the first work to appear within Cam's Creativity Corner. Also known in the forum under her username of krayedon, Cam has unveiled "Ma'Jii-Ka, Master Wizard", a feline sorcerer with a coat of pitch and baby-blue eyes.

Romance is in the air, and a new piece made it to the halls of art in time for Valentine's Day. Once more, felines have appeared, this time being the Nekomatas Grace and Nankaina in the latest canvas within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! Rarely have this couple graced the halls, that Remi decided the time was appropriate and given an artistic arc here that may be within her current gaming project. For those who wish to see how the characters were crafted, Remichan compressed the sixteen hours of work into a twenty-minute speed-draw video.

Well, that's it for this week.
