I've removed the unverified Wiener quotes. I didn't even realize he was using the VV in his name like DerVVulfman. That was still an interesting twitter page though, quite hilarious really!

I had no idea the KKK David Duke guy was running for Senate in Louisiana but, as one would expect, there was a Black Lives Matter protest outside. Who could blame them? I don't even know how a guy like that could have the nerve to run but apparently he won the debate...?



I'm having a hard time believing it. Then again, I barely know of the guy. Reading through his wikipedia though, I see he has ran for multiple offices, multiple times. I find this entry interesting...

In 1974, Duke founded the Louisiana-based Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (KKKK), shortly after graduating from LSU.[89] He became Grand Wizard of the KKKK. A follower of Duke, Thomas Robb, changed the title of Grand Wizard to National Director, and replaced the Klan's white robes with business suits.[90] Duke first received broad public attention during this time, as he endeavored to market himself in the mid 1970s as a new brand of Klansman: well-groomed, engaged, and professional. Duke also reformed the organization, promoting nonviolence and legality, and, for the first time in the Klan's history, women were accepted as equal members and Catholics were encouraged to apply for membership.[91] Duke would repeatedly insist that the Klan was "not anti-black" but rather "pro-white" and "pro-Christian." Duke told The Daily Telegraph he left the Klan in 1980 because he disliked its associations with violence and could not stop the members of other Klan chapters from doing "stupid or violent things."[92]

So he apparently tried to make a racist white supremacist group into a pro-white gentleman's club, without all the anti-black lynching. He still seems like some kind of closet Nazi though, I wouldn't elect him. It'll be interesting to see if Louisiana is crazy enough to vote the guy into office or not. They could do better, we have enough crazies in government to deal with.
