According to people in the IRC he made another channel for rmvxp while the forums was down. Something like that.
Lame reason to ban him.

He registered a channel that punk had previously dropped on another network.

If it is because of that then nothing should have been done at all. Punk broke all ties for rmvxp on slacked when he left, and once a channel is dropped, anybody is free to register it.
