 Memorie
So I had this idea. Though I could put a risk and add a Mode 7 script in the game, I decided to go against that idea. Instead. I thought about making backgrounds for the battle screen using Screenshots of a blank project instead, which uses a Mode 7 Script. I'll go into more details later.

Well Mode7 is just usefull for Worldmaps in my opinion. Since RMXP doesnt have a default worldmap tileset, its rather useless.

Just a little preview of one of a few things I am currently working on in this project, aside from the Title Screen. I should probably find a script that allows actual looping with BGM music. Mainly because I keep downloading the Looping .ogg files, that RPG Maker XP handles like a .mp3 file for some reason. Indifferent

I think it is a bit to dark to see something. You should add some lights in it.
Get Audacity and edit your music files, you can make them looping by yourself and you not need a script for it.
In the picture below you see a cave i made with lightsources, without scripting.

Other devs' works have been getting stolen, then sold off for someone else's profit. I'm gonna post a link to what I'm trying to spill out.

PSA: Game Theft by EmmxDev

I decided to add a little tiny thing to the readme.

If I make, or remember, any other alias names, I'll add them in the future. But for now, I hope this will get the message across sometime when the game is finished, or a demo gets released. I may alter this a bit more, since the games being stolen by EmmxDev might also be free to play with ads, which is about as bad as getting the game sold for profit.

Hmmm.... I might just move this project to my laptop, since I got the Steam version of RPG Maker XP working great on Wine.... with the exception of the Midi files, from the default RTP, not working and not able to go into fullscreen for some reason (this time without the OS rebooting itself), I think I can continue the project on it, since Wine is kind of compatible with the project. I'll have to test this out before I can fully decide.

Well, you could use some program to convert your Midi to MP3 or something if your system has problems playing em.

Have you thought about adding your 'README' extra blurb into the game itself? 'Concealed' in a script of course, but something to pop up on game start or something Winking

Well, if I use any of the Midi files while on the laptop, I might do that. Gotta see if any other type of audio file would work though.

Never crossed my mind, but it does sound interesting. So interesting that I might actually have now just thought of that.

Welp, I have great news.

I managed, with the help of the WINE program, to not only install and use RPG Maker XP (Steam Version), but I'm also gonna be able to continue developing this game without problems. There's a downside though...

Currently, because I'm using a Compatibility Layer (WINE), .midi files will not be able to play. Also when I fullscreen, instead of the OS crashing on me, I can't see the game screen. So I'll have to playtest and play RPG maker XP - VX ACE games in Windowed... Unless they have a special way of going fullscreen. Well, that's pretty much all the downsides I encountered... for now.

Also ignore the two Steam icons. One is the Linux Version, which I installed first, and the other one is the Windows Version, that runs on WINE. I still got a few things to install on this old thing, so that'll be a bit before I continue development on any project.

I'm going to stick with the PC until a most critical problem happens, but I'll be backing things up with a Flash Drive, so that I can transfer the progress to the laptop, that is running Linux.

I added Moghunter's Chain Commands script into the game. I figured that I could spice up the boss battles a bit more by doing something similar to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games have done with their boss battles. I'll show a screenshot soon. I'll probably be adding a HUD for those said QTEs so that you can keep track of at least the party leader's HP.
