Introduction
Hello and welcome to my thread! During my vacation I had it planned that I would at least make an attempt to get back into building animated battlers, perhaps maybe finishing what I already had done. Well, I've just decided to scrap the old shit because I can't keep up on the same style, so now I'm starting a new series from scratch.
Current Progress
These are very rough draft 'skeleton' versions of sword wielding sprites. I will be doing various other weapon types and yadda yadda as time goes on, but here's what I've got for now.
Project Goals
I plan on having a diverse set of animation bases which I can use as a template for my game's battlers. Each set is going to be custom tailored around either a certain weapon and/or a certain fighting style. While most animations are going to have a standardized set of frames, some battlers will have specialized frame set (an example is a Reload frame-set for projectile weapons). Also, if at all possible, I want to make these look consistent with the templates I've made for my map characters.
About : Weapon/Shield Combinations
These battlers are being designed with visual equipment in mind. While this is going to make things graphically more spectacular, it is also going to make my job way more complex. For each weapon type, I'll most likely make it formatted for these common combinations @_@
These works are my creative properties and are posted strictly for demonstration and critique purposes and are not intended to be an immediate public resource. Only once the game I am working on is finished, I plan to properly package these materials and distribute them for public usage. Until then, please do not copy, compile or redistribute this material without my written consent.

- 1 Weapon: Any singly-wielded weapons (except maybe small things like knives and daggers) will be handled with both hands.
- 2 Weapons: If both weapons are of the same type (ie two swords), they will be shown dual wield. If both weapons are of different type (ie a handgun and a sword), the character will sheath one weapon and bring out the other one.
- 1 Weapon, 1 Shield: Some weapon class types will allow the simultaneous display of a weapon in one hand and a shield in the other. Others will only bring out a shield for their defend animation.
