Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Announcements and Updates

After a long series of weeks, The new HBGames Archive Board now has every tutorial that could be saved. The collection was eclectic, having material to make a Pac-Man game, options for making mirror or reflect features without a script, and having rediscovered some articles that have been lost for nearly two decades. There were a fair number that could not be saved as the original posteres used file and image sharing sites that have vanished, but the labor was fruitful and safeguarded over two-hundered tutorials. Work was not finished with just RPGMaker Tutorials as a handful of tutorials for GameMaker were too acquired, and a few handy RPGMaking tools were likewise reclaimed.

Occasions

Being a gamer who apprecitates fare with action or mature content, tatalaba came by to see if our forum had any of the software or scripts that contributed to some of his favorite RPG Maker games. And if new games to find were his interest, Remi and DerVVulfman both gave directions.

General Chat

Its been a while, but KDC found another one of those Videogames that celebrate Birthdays. These are games that look at your account for your birthday and look at the real-world calendar to see if its "cake day", and today he found and added Gran Tursmo to the list. Not only did KDC get well wishes, but a Mercedes-Benz in-game. Also, you can watch a youtube video that he linked up if you wish.

This week's News of the World sees Russia causing problems throughout all of Europe. Not only have they invaded Ukraine and started the war, but Putin's spokesman now taunts a war threat against NATO, this as Russian Drones breaches Lithuania's airspace, jets crossing into Estonia with NATO/Swedish jets intercepting those in Estonian airspace, crossing into restricted airspace in Poland, and having made the same false accusations against Finland that it also used as justification to invade Ukraine. As tensions rise, the UK arrest three Russian spies during US President Trump's official State visit in the UK, Trump pledged unwavering support and defense to Baltic NATO nations, the EU announced more sanctions against Russia and told member nations to end any further Russian Oil purchases, and Japan began stocking up NATO airforce bases. Japan does so as it sees both Russian and Chinese naval ships working together while China continues encroachment into neighboring waters. Only recently, Chinese vessels have strafed the Taiwan-owned Pratas Islands which China claims as its own as it claims Taiwan itself. And only a week before it declared a nature reserve within Philippine waters, prompting a three-day joint exercise with U.S. and Japan. And even more recently, Japan and the U.S. have been conducting Exercise Resolute Dragon 25 demonstrating ship-sinking capabilities. Israel's attack against Hamas leadership in Qatar has done much damage, both Iran and Egypt now spearheading its own regional defense pact similar to NATO. And as a rebuke against Israel, Canada, UK and Australia have all chosen to recognize Palestine as an official UN member state, this under protest by Israel and by the U.S. claiming such actions would reward Hamas and hinder all efforts to bring any more hostages back home. Democrat Governor Shapiro's sharp words for Kamala Harris over Former President Biden's health, Russian TV insinuating U.S. involvment in the Charlie Kirk assassination, Ukraine releasing footage of their strike against Russian oil refineries, The sinking of a second Venezuelan boat carrying drugs to the U.S., China's economy struck by a sharp decline, and more hit this week's news.

Within the News of the Cyber World, there has been growing issues with AI, ChatGPT caught playing stupid when researchers asked the service to evaluate itself, Firefox users grimace that its security based browser will be using a third-party AI service, and China just realized it spent over a quarter million to train its own. Hackers have been totally evil, now creating fake Internet Crime Complaint sites, uploading Ransomware on sushi suppliers, shutting down London transportation, and telecoms in South Korea. Canada confiscating $41 Million from CryptoCurrency exchange based on belief of activity and not upon hard evidence, Nintendo applying yet another patent that appears to be a common feature in many existing games, US President Trump on acquiring TikTok, and more hit this week's news.

Guess what game is featured in the 2025 South East Asia Showcase. If you said Rave Heart, you would be correct! But not just that, but other games by Starmage, including A Sun-Kissed Fantasy, Delvin: Origins, and many more. A video of the showcase was made available for those wondering about all the games that were featured as well as their gameplay.

More advances have been made within the HiddenChest RGSS Player Executable by kyonides. Nearly every key option can use the Input.repeat? feature with the odd exception of the ALT, CTRL and SHIFT keys. But who would repeat the SHIFT key anyway? But along with that are graphic improvements suchas the updates to the screen resolution and resize systems, a feature to return the largest texture size based on the user's graphics card, and repairs to the window dispose system, an issue that most no-one would even have noticed. Now available for both Windows and Linux users.

Scripts Database

RPGMaker XP (RGSS) Engine

An update was made to the background in kyonides' KInfoMenu XP script. If you want the menu to be translucent, you can now perform a change to the WINDOW_BACK_OP setting.

Following a request made by Ace_V, kyonides quickly updated KBribe XP to determine if the amount paid was fixed or based upon a percentage to reflect the enemy's greed.

Game developers can now be real mean with kyonides's Super Skill Nerf XP, adding options to force users to wait a number of turns before select skills can be used again, and even make some skills usable only twice throughout an entire battle. But not everything done this week was made to torture the heroes as some visual options were added as well.

The idea of using a summons tends to be that of a temporary NPC that fights on your side within a battle system. But with Bless & Kurse XP by kyonides, who knows if the entity you summon during battle will be friend or foe?

RPGMaker VX/VXAce (RGSS2/3) Engines

If an ingame tutorial is what you need in your RPGMaker VX project, then KInfoMenu CX by kyonides would allow you to do so with many GUI options. However, it is not a plug-and-play script as there are many configuration values within the KInfoMenu module to adjust.

For anyone who wishes to torture the players, kyonides's Super Skill Nerf VX now includes that limit some skills to be usable only twice through an entire battle, or force heroes to wait a set number of turns before certain skills can be re-cast. But not everything done this week was made to torture the heroes as some visual options were added as well.

Are you looking for some medica care? If so, the Various RMXP sprites by Ace_V had begun its work on prison systems and medical wards. And this week, Ace_V revealed a red-headed, pig-tailed nurse in hospital blues.

Music and Audio

The sheet music is ready and the orchestra is assembled whenever you wish to enter DoubleX's Music Room. And this week, he has been busy composing new melodies. Beginning with "Deeply Touched", the heavy pianowork at the beginning typifies the downtrodden of society with oboes and woodwinds appearing not long after to try to and understand and ease any appearing plights. Quick and chaotic appears the piano keys in "Too Weak to Live" with a mix of high flutes and chimes to exemplify the chaos one deals with every day. Just days later, Mental Suffocation was released with a piano riff of a near latin beat. Coupled with woodwinds for a time, a heavy bass drum intruded not long after to add weight for the passing of time. But following that was Utopian Dreams, beginning with light harps and woodwinds in a happy melody. Accompanied later by an eclectic collection of instruments in a discordant manner to represent the difference between the dreaming world and real life, it was his 39th composition and the latest so far.

Art and Design

Gaze upon a visual interpretation of things to come. For within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing, we see one of the outcomes of her current game in progress. The Terminus Void is the title of another render of Remi's long created characters, the Queen of Shadows as she is set to apear in her new role, if the players of her game are able to survive. Over seven hours to complete, you can watch this maiden set against the emptiness in a twelve-minute speed draw.
