Need congeography help

I do not want a cold desert, I would want a hot arid regions, with average temperatures of 30-40C, so perhaps the mountains will be low lying.

the triangles are all potential mountains, they could be there, or not. whatever you think is logical for your country. the desert could be leveled off at just above sea level, and be stuck in a dust bowl situation from how the winds move in from the sea, and erode the outer mountains. the wind would carry in salty ocean water, and make it impossible to grow most things. unless they're countries drawn by winston churchill, squiggly borders are most often rivers. there has to be a mountain or two just north of that northern horn to make the river flow that way.

Mountains may also separate climate types. I wouldn't think that wind would carry salty air so much as Kasper mentioned. That would be fine for a beach-like area for some yards as the saline content would be heavier and drop closer to the shore. However, mountains would entrap the air. Consider wind moving in a western direction from the sea, cutting through land until it hits a mountain range. The land where the moisture rich wind crosses would be more lush fertile, as would possibly the mountain range. However, the other side of the mountain may be more arid.

On the reverse side, you could use mountains to entrap moisture. Consider a lake formed by a river, or series of streams. This lake, created as the result of mountains encircling it so the water cannot go any further. You have an area within a circle of mountains that is cut off and may have its own ecosphere, and anything on the other side may be less fertile.

Insofar as temperature, that's going to be how close you are to the sun, and the equator and etc. Areas closer to the poles will tend to be colder. And mountain areas may separate colder climates from warmer ones. Taller mountain ranges are usually further from the equator except for a few FUN ones. Just look at the ALPS. Italy is a beautiful seaport filled country that is touching them, and the Alps has a heckuva lot of snow on them.

Oh, you may consider that nations may want to have control over the mountain ranges for defense purposes, lookout posts and the like. Nations and Kingdoms would likely have borders formed from these ranges as well as great rivers.

EDIT:

You started with the land being arid with more tropic/lush areas to the south. If that is the case, then perhaps Vrkhazh would be on the Southern hemisphere where the northern area is near the equator and the south is further away. This may be harder to pull off in a game (if that's a goal). Water moves towards the equator after all, and waterfalls would be a pain to make (always drawn as if from a northern hemisphere perspective).

I made a map with all the mountains:

Need more information - Where is it, north or south? Which direction is the wind?

I do not know, it may be north or south of the equator just south or north of the tropics...
I'm thinking that it should remain in the northern hemisphere just south of the Tropic of Cancer, this way winds will be blocked by the north-eastern mountain range but possibly still enter the tropical region in that open space below mentioned mountain range.

keep the mountains to the east then, and the desert will grade down towards the western water border

extend the northwest mountain range up a little, and take the bottom part of the eastern one, and bend it to the border instead. the southernmost range is good where it is, but it needs another range close to the south to guide a glacier out, otherwise it would need a lake and crater since it has nowhere to put its runoff once the climate changes back.

How will that keep my tropical regions though?
