XNA Game Stdio 4.0
#1
Question for any of you budding developers.
I've been looking at some games that have been made with XNA and I really like the power that it gives you.
I know there are one or two on here who use it (CharlieFleed?).
I'm thinking of giving it a shot myself, but I don't know how easy it is for beginners.
Can anyone who has experienced it give me a recommendation?
I think I can get a nearly free license of it for being a student.

It mostly depends on if you already have programming experience or not. If you don't have any programming experience it will be difficult. However that will be the case with every programming language then, not just XNA. And, well, you have to start somewhere. You can better start learning with something you think is fun, than learning something boring. So if you think this will be fun, just try it.

If you do have programming experience it will be a lot easier for you.

Whether you do or don't have programming experience, don't forget that there is a lot of information about it on the internet. You won't be the first starting learning XNA, and you won't be the last. If you still have any questions, you can always ask.

I recommend to use Express edition. That edition is free for everyone, and has everything you need to start with XNA.

Thanks for the feedback.
I think I'm going to give it a shot. I have a lot of Computer Science buddies to help me through rough patches.
I don't know if Express is easier to use, but as part of Microsoft's Dreamspark program, I can get full access to XNA 4.0 for free (if I read it right). Any budding developers who happen to be a college student should really check it out: https://www.dreamspark.com/Default.aspx
Awesome programs to work with.
