 RPG MAKER UNITE has come back...

 I mean, RPG MAKER U2U has been officially announced today!

Oh, this is hardly surprising. There were some screenshots and promotional materials regarding a "3D RPGmaker" going about the ergosphere of the community the last couple of weeks. This just feels like an incredibly backwards step to show that Gotcha Gotcha Games has learned nothing from their past blunders.

One does have to wonder what kind of high-functioning genius is in charge when they made the foolish decision to inject a repaint of an engine virtually no one liked or wanted into the rpgmaker market with such alacrity. How can they even still pretend and delude themselves into this madness that even surely the chimneysweep who yodels into the night has the sense to see the lack of sense in.

Perhaps both the saddest yet also the most hilarious part is that from what previews I've seen, it's just a worse, more expensive version of Bakin. The octopath traveller sprites look ashamedly bad. The rest just looks like lifted RTP from VX which is activating my fight or flight response by sheer proxy of association.

Just another deadwaste of reductive talent in a dying breed of engine. O' how far from grace the mighty have fallen, if one could even imply their lacking magnitude really substatiates much of a fall or just a step down. Yet another uncaring footprint deeper into the mud-slicked swamp of a messy lousianian jungle they've put themselves into the fetid overgrown vegetation of.

Amidst a chorus of blind seers and deaf conductors, do only they aspire to be less than nothing.

As for me and to get away from this prose-laden poppycock...

The Rewrite of the main story is almost complete, but that's hardly the only thing I've done.

I've gone and added the TABenabled switch to turn on when events with flvaor text start and turn off at their close. I haven't done this all that much yet, having only recently finished up Disk 0, with Disk 1 next in line. What I have done is fixed up all the deployment beacons from having the menu opened during their processing.

I've also finally gotten around to updating the pop-up notifications of the games main story quests to have the correct icon.

There's probably more I've done, but nothing I can recall right now.
