That's a great idea - it's a very different game but the most recent DOOM game gets the intro spot on. Within 20 seconds, you're playing. It grips you from the start. You can show rather than tell, it's the same for films. If the player can experience your story instead of being told it, you will definitely leave a bigger mark.
