that's all well and good, but I think that it should be there as it allows for those of us with the abilities to do so to expand on the existing engine in ways that you, the developer, may have not thought of. Meanwhile, you can look at what other people are doing with your engine, and if you see trends in areas that had not previously occurred to you, you can continue to expand the engine to take those features in account. Of course, you are the developer, and you are providing this tool for free ( afaik ), so you will develop it in any format that you see fit and rightfully so. I'm just happy that you chose such open standards that make it easy to re-purpose the game data towards other engines that may suit needs that your engine may not take in account, such as web platforms ( my personal favorite realm ), or mobile gaming.
Do know:
PayPal charges me 3-5% per successful transaction. ( 2.99% domestic US, everywhere else it varies - although AU seems to be more like 1.5% )
