Haunted Divinity is a dark fantasy romance visual novel centered on Venarok, the God of Poison and Forbidden Knowledge, who falls in love with a human woman and discovers the ultimate cost of defying ancient laws to follow his heart. The story explores themes of mental health, emotional growth, grief, and the evolving relationship between its two main characters. It asks questions such as: How can love change a person? What does it truly mean to be human? Can opposites always attract? And how do gods cope with overwhelming loss when they lose the one thing they cherish most?

Play as Venarok and witness his journey through love, hope, and despair. Meet the love of his life, Angie, and uncover her stories with each encounter. Angie and Venarok's love is cut short when she is killed by members of Venarok's own cult. In that moment, his world is consumed by flames, and the once-calm god is overcome with grief and rage, ready to destroy everything in his path. When his fury finally subsides, only despair remains. Unable to bear the weight of his loss, Venarok isolates himself from the world, retreating into the darkest room inside his temple.

Will Venarok be able to fall in love again? Or he will turn into a merciless, corrupted god ready to destroy everything in his sight?

The Poison God’s Trial is a fast-paced 2D boss challenge set in the world of Haunted Divinity.

Take control of Angie and face Venarok, the God of Poison and Forbidden Knowledge, in a series of increasingly dangerous trials. Dodge waves of poison, slip between webs, survive sweeping attacks, and fight back with the most appropriate weapon imaginable:

Cheese.

Move left and right, dash through danger, and learn Venarok’s attack patterns. Fire quick shots or charge your attack for a stronger cheese projectile capable of passing through his spiders.

Be careful with those spiders, though. Shooting them increases Venarok’s Fury, restoring some of his strength.

Successfully attacking Venarok also builds Grace. Once the meter is full, Angie can activate Grace for temporary protection, giving you a precious opportunity to survive when the arena gets particularly chaotic.
