This is only my first real project so it's really a lot of trying things out. To base my entire battle system on the cards at the moment would require a lot of work and time from me (especially since this is a one-man project atm).
I do intend to make Radia Battles tournaments and events and such later on in the game, there's already a sort of reputation system in the game as we speak.
Upcoming RPG XP project:
Legends of the Flaming Falcons
In a distant future an ancient threat stirs...heroes of old take up their arms once more.
For my writing project that includes my rmxp project I'm also maintaining a private wiki; if you wish to follow me, let me know.

Just some things I've been up to:
named each and every npc in my game demo so far. Every name also has a meaning to that person's function and fits his/her ethnic roots. (faeries have british, irish names and so on)
revamping some maps, including Daba city as seen here
Building a sphere grid. I've finished the adjustments to make it work decently in-game. The graphics are still standard placeholders and I'm redesigning the shape.

Don't know what you are doing with this project right now, but I love the character art that I see.
Who made it?
Also, that constellation-y abilities menu looks pretty sweet.

the facesets are the rtp facesets from Ruruga (
http://fayforest.sakura.ne.jp/)
I repainted some of my character's faces however including the ones of my main heroes so they'd fit with some of my customized rtp sprites.
As for what I am doing with my project? slowly continuing work on it. Hope I can release a second tech demo soon after I finish the new skill system.

might I make a small suggestion in terms of name choice for that blomme character?
