Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

General Chat
If you have an eclectic sense of taste, then perhaps you are not unlike Kain Nobel. So feel free to ask him "What are YouTubing?" This week, he went with some old school 70's breakdance music and an even older-still short comedy featuring Charlie Chaplin.
Early in this week's News of the World, it was discovered that Iran's piracy of shipping lines have been spiking, this prompting the US to send warships into the area. The IRS whistleblowers finally testified in the U.S. Congress, revealing $17 million going to the President's family through over 20 shell companies hiding the payments. With such reveals, impeachment may come. But not only for the President Biden, but impeachment may be in the cards for Chief Mayorkas over the southern border immigration crisis. And while the US just cut funding to the Wuhan Virology lab where Covid-19 originated, some have argued that this should have been done two years prior. And Biden's administration is still funding EcoHealth which actively shuffled money to Wuhan. Yet another train with hazardous chemicals derailing, South Korea reconstruction deal with Ukraine to spite China, the Johnson & Johnson baby powder settlement, witnesses at the hearing on social media censorship speaking out, Russia targeting food storage sites in their war with Ukraine, and much more hit this week's world news.

Tech Talk
Elon Musk's troubles were prevalent in this week's News of the Cyber World, whether it be flaming Teslas in the UK or the income loss Twitter had suffered. But an appeals court may overturn a verdict against Musk for violating Labor laws. Data leaks and security also hit the Cybernews as Tax Prep firms such as H&R Block supplied Facebook with their customer confidential data. Newer cars with smart technology may be hacked, such technology targeted may reveal the owner's SiriusXM, OnStar, AT&T and TMobile personal data, and much more.Chinese hackers having access to Australia's power grid, China's Censorship AI, James Cameron's warning about AI, and Jim Jordan's Social Media investigation also hit this week's cybernews.
In the spirit of Chinese Hackers, it was revealed during an Australian Senate inquiry that TikTok can indeed change their social media application's algorhythm, this admitted by the company's Security Officer Will Farrell. It comes after experts argue that end-user's personal data could be given over to the CCP.

Games Development
Development Discussion
New features seems to be What's up with RMers like DerVVulfman and kyonides. While kyonides went to work on making a chest system that allowed one to create containers that both gave and recieved items, DerVVulfman worked on a script that let one track goods both legally obtained or stolen. Remi-chan is still working on her game, now having improved much of the content with her compact 'Gab Windows' that don't conceal the action as much during combat. Steel Beast 6Beets queried if anyone ever worked with Wolf RPG Editor, a separate engine apart fromt he enterbrain RPGMaker line. And Melana reported that an advertised collection of 270 icons for $20 was not much more than two icons recolored and overlay patterns, and the site which had them advertised.
Earlier this week, kyonides provided a picture from his OpenChest scirpt within the Maps and screenshots thread. DerVVulfman liked its appearance. And though he noted it lacked gold coin options, the reply was made early in the week before gold and take-all options were included.

If you want to make an RPG game without using an enterBrain product, Wolf RPG may be something to pursue. Released years ago, it gives you as many features of the RPGMaker line, but without underlying script/code editing. However, options to change the game's resolution and tile size options may be something to consider.
Scripts Database
How much loot does your party have? An easy question to be sure. But how much loot does your party have that was stolen? With the Party Thievery script by DerVVulfman, you can now keep stolen loot separate from your legally obtained gear. And with that, you may have to find a fence in order to sell them off. And not long after its inception, the stolen gear may also be equipped and removed.
Rather than just taking goods out of a treasure chest, why not put items back in for later? With the OpenChest collection by kyonides, you now may. Originally for RPGMaker XP, later VX and VXAce editions came out, being updated with new options, the ability to mass grab transfer all the contents, and even giving each chest or container a name of their own.
A couple of minor rewrites were made to KSkillMax, making the system more compatible with other scripts by attaching rather than overwriting code. And now, new values have been included so options can change in-game.
Updates were made to the KShlenam configuration scene script, making it easier to return to the previous scene including the main menu. Check out all the new features.

Music and Audio
Early this week, Eric Matyas continued to Share His Sound Effects as a new ambient effect was released. Birds chirping while some traffic can be heard in the distance, said effect could be fine for a suburban neighborhood nearby a high traffic roadway.
Art and Design
If you want some rough concrete textures, then look towards Eric Matyas who continues to Build a Massive Library of Free Images, now adding a rough gray concrete texture and a texture of mottled green and brown. Free they may be, he could use some support to keep his website running in this economy.
Well, that's it for this week.
