General Chat
Battered and fried poultry turned out to be What's on the mind of kyonides as he pondered if he was getting the best deal for fried chicken. And seeing where he was getting the meal and for how much, DerVVulfman appeared flummoxed and jealous at the price.
Has anyone ever considered how melodical the error bloops were within the Windows XP operating system? kyonides pondered that if you thought to ask him "What are YouTubing?"
Attempts to gernerate solar power by using orbital solar panels appeared within the Weird Science thread as kyonides reported how a company in Japan is planning to invest roughly $7 billion on the project. While the project does prevent vast areas of land from being covered by panels, the broadcast energy system was already found inefficient, the panels in space subject to micrometeorite damage outside the protection of Earth's atmosphere, and the panels themselves could contribute to the space debris already in orbit.
There hasn't been a time as recent that China hadn't hit the News of the World, their recent calls to anyone of Chinese descent in the U.S. to act on China's behalf, the arrest of a Chinese ship illegally pillaging WWII vessels by Malasia, playing both sides during the Sudanese conflict, targeting a Member of Canadian Parliament, and much more. Issues with Russia continues as Germany closed off four of their consulates while Moskow put forth an arrest warrant for Senator Lindsey Graham over his support of Ukraine. Meanwhile, Turkey is being pressured to drop objections over Sweden joining the NATO alliance. With the U.S. Southern Border in crisis, former President Trump stated he would eliminate Birthright Citizenship if the parents are Illegal Aliens. Meanwhile, the Biden administration plans to move more entering into the midwest, even as it was reported that MS-13 gang members that entered illegally and released by the government were charged with the murder of a 15 year old boy. The confirmed existence of a file linking Biden to a $5 Million Bribery scheme, Maduro supplying electricity to Brazil as his own nation suffers blackouts, the train crash in India that killed nearly 300, and dozens more articles hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
Troubles in Social Media platforms hit this week's News of the Cyber World as Musk found Twitter was not worth the expense he paid, and its engineering chief resigned shortly after the failed DeSantis Presidential campaign fiasco. Meta Platforms, the owner of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp went through another round of layoffs, and stated they would not supply any news coming from California in difference to the state's new Journalism Preservation act. And Meta Platforms is one of various agencies now coming under scrutiny as Instagram had immediately banned Democratic Presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr the moment an attempt is made to set up an official campaign account. Couple that with accusations of the BBC working to perform a hit job against Media Star Andrew Tate, while Youtube is now lifting their policy of widespread censorship against conservative claiming it was to stop Election Fraud misinformation. Amazon's $30 million lawsuit settlement, a TikTok Prankster's repeated arrests, and more hit the cyber news this week.
A recent report showed that Chinese Hackers had attacked American Installations in Guam, working to make vulnerable communications, manufacturing and utilities, and even maritime services.

Development Discussion
The question of the new RPGMaker Unite came up as it was What's up with RMers like Melana. But replies by kyonides, Steel Beast 6Beets and Remi-chan suggested that its outlook was less than favored. Following this, a bit of commentary by Remi-chan was brought up regarding a member of the global RPG community, one who was called out for upsetting statements. Seeing posted content, links and screenshots, Steel Beast 6Beets appeared to agree. And DerVVulfman reported he was contacted by one who did not appreciate Remi-chan's post, claiming it was lies. But he saw much evidence that the content Remi-chan posted was very indeed accurate. Following that, spritework by Kain Nobel was revealed, and a status update was made by DerVVulfman on the revised Half Kaiser battlers. Lastly, Remi-chan performed some updates on the cutscenes for her game, and kyonides gave a small one-shot on auto-saves in RPGMaker.
If one thought kyonides wouldn't put a decent map within the Maps and screenshots thread, you would be wrong. Working upon a new tileset with merged content from the classic RPGMaker XP RTP, he made an underground chamber with flowing lava and amber crystal adorned pedestals. He confirmed to DerVVulfman that the lava was indeed animated, but the gems were static. And felt that private messages would be better suited towards advice than public discussion.

Code Support
Whisper thanked kyonides for the brief Hud code when he revisited the Resources Consumption Meter topic early this week. And with that, Whisper said he may post his hud code for review and hopes to eventually return the favor.
Material Development
Scripts Database
It takes little effort to see if an actor has a particular status effect, but kyonides added a script that can test if an actor is effected by two, three or more states with the latest edition to his General Methods XP VX & ACE set.
It didn't take long after creating the Klass Change & Skills system that a final port version would be made available for RPGMaker VXAce.
A new feature added into AktorEkuip by kyonides is the ability to garner or lose blessed points, these specialized points determining if a hero is permitted to use certain types of gear. Said points may even be garnered by giving up one's HP or SP.
In conjunction with AktorEquip, kyonides crafted AktorEkuipReset for all three Ruby-Script editions of RPGMaker. With it, new options are available to drop or store the player's gear.
The Refreshable Events system by kyonides allows you to define events to reset and clear their self-switch variables and the like if the player had left and returned to a given map.
If you wish to keep track of how the cumulative saves, defeats, escapes or the like regardless of how many save-game files the player may have, then GlobalValues XP by kyonides could be your script. Currently for RPGMaker XP, it records each victory, defeat or the like into a separate game file.

Art and Design
Another render of FrostQueen Esperia has appeared within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing! But since the work was done over a span of days, there is no speed-draw available this time.
Well, that's it for this week.
