General Chat
The thoughts of recent AI bots turned out to be on the mind of DerVVulfman. But he has a theory about them.
There was quite a varity of things to view if you asked any member What are YouTubing? For Bounty Hunter Lani, it would be an amateur's lesson on wrestling moves. For Kain Nobel, it would be some western styled music from GTA San Andreas. And for DerVVulfman, it would be a scene from a late-90's Sci-fi series.
China hit this week's News of the World as companies are pulling out and the U.S. considers targeting the country if they begin supporting Russia in their war against Ukraine. But China has chosen to make boasts, a Chinese Diplomat stating they tampered with U.K. elections while 50 Chinese-sponsored fishing vessels have illegally crossed into Australian waters. Russia isn't much further behind in this week's news, their own navy defiantly crossing British waters, halting oil shipments to Poland, and suspending participation in the Nuclear Arms treaty with the US. In legal news, former mogul Harvey Weinstein has been sentenced to 16 years on rape while a former Mexican drug czar was convicted and faces 20 years in prison. Meanwhile FTX Founder, Sam Bankman-Fried now faces four more charges including Illegal Campaign donations. The toxic spill in the Ohio train derailment, the uncontrollable wildfire in Melbourne, Australia, more fraudulent information from the debunked 'Steele Dossier', and so much more was in this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week's News of the Cyber World hit social media as the U.S. Supreme Court is hearing a case to remove protections from lawsuits. and Google may be facing a new anti-trust lawsuit. Apple has begun firing contractors and Amazon has been seen censoring anyone critical of China. This and much more hit this week's cybernews.
Forum Games & Nonsense
Last week, DerVVulfman posted a thread dedicated to a list of humorous one-shot lines that should never be performed by someone involved in pen-and-paper games. The title of the thread suggested more was coming, and DerVVulfman did not disappoint as this week he posted 750+ things Mr. Welch can no longer do in a RPG - Part II. If you attempt to read aloud, remember to breathe.
Games Development
Development Discussion
When it comes to wondering What's up with our fellow RMers, it is clear that Remi-chan has gone into overdrive on her gaming project, posting no less than three videos of her recently designed boss battles, and nearly a dozen screenshots to inspire Steel Beast 6Beets and Kain Nobel. But KasperKalamity isn't slowing down, not with over twenty maps completed while fifty more are set ot be worked upon. Steel Beast 6Beets is inspired by the progress being made.
Code Support
The support thread where icogil suggested he had a z-space problem of displaying sprites when it pertained to making his version of a Visual Equipment script has continued. DerVVulfman relayed how the zDepth isn't necessary for what icogil wanted, the principle differences between Parent and Child classes, and what would be needed to allow for a visual equipment script to work with variable-sized resources. Hearing the challenges faced, icogil gave his thanks for all the hard work and discussion. But DerVVulfman appeared to be inspired and had been relaying post after post as he worked on a new system that in fact did use variable-sized resources which icogil desired.
Tutorials
If you ever had need to recover from an issue where your PC has crashed, kyonides made a tutorial entitled Steam on Linux & RPG Maker Series which lays out where you may find the Windows Registry entries are for Steam and Linux Wine users.
Material Development
Scripts Database
Be ready, dear hero. For the coward within your party may be the bearer of the infamous ChickenKnife! A weapon destined for the cheap-shot artists, the blade gets stronger whenever your party flees from battle. It took mere hours for kyonides to eventually port his scriptette to all three Ruby-based RPGMaker engines.
A script made for RPGMaker VXAce, EKuipSwitch by kyonides allows you to activate a switch whenever a particular piece of gear is equipped.
There are times when reaching 0 Mana Points is very boring. It is kyonides who asked that very question and whether combatants could exceed the limit within his recent script post, NoManaKrisis. Now you can use your hero's hit points when mana crisis hits
It took a while, but now KAlterStates isn't exclusive to RPGMaker VXAce anymore. For now, RPGMaker XP and VX users can enjoy applying paralysis and deparalyze states upon their targets.
It had been four years since kyonides typed out the code to create RandomEnkounters XP, a system to allow creatures to appear on-map when the party faced a traditional random encounter. But now, the system has been reworked, and can now present multiple enemies that can surround the party. Even then, it was updated further to allow for reactions to take place.
There was an unexpected flaw within KDelayState as Steel Beast 6Beets reported an issue regarding keys for missing arrays, an issue that kyonides repaired fairly quickly.

ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
The Talk Box
This week, Kain Nobel put out a notice to those curious that the ReGaL Project was indeed Restarted in 2022. He is contemplating archiving the older posts and concept as little of the older workfiles are available as the content worked upon is fresh. Amidst delays from real life, progress has been made even with the technical challenges that had arisen. It is possible that others will be brought in for additional work, but not as yet. Be aware, he mentioned a 1.0 release of ReGaL as a bare system while later versions may have plugin capability. After all the content relayed, Kain went further to describe the history of early ReGaL development.

DaVinci Archives
This week, JayRay has felt revitalized in taking rendered artwork to create sprite graphics. He has crafted realistic or semi-realistic terrain for maps, and with that has considered the DaVinci Resurrection. For this, he has planned out what type of angles he has need for his characters, the number of frames and directions per character, and the number of animations desired.
And seeing that the DaVinci project is being resurrected, Remi-chan showed up to JayRay's request to Name my Actors! Within, she supplied 26 male and female names of a more medieval flare for his characters.

Well, that's it for this week.
