Occasions
This week, ForbiddenFusion decided to greet everyone in the forum. It was Remi-chan who came forward to welcome him to the forum, explaining why our forum's welcoming feature is necessary. DerVVulfman too welcomed him with further talk and greets.
General Chat
When it comes asking kyonides just What are YouTubing, he seems to be a fan of Switch, a show that places civilians into simulations Police officers must face, like no-knock warrants with violent perpetrators. Meanwhile, Remi-chan, a fan of Final Fantasy XIV, posted a comic video over the struggles and power when playing with the Black Mage.
For the America, Chinese Spy balloons hit this week's News of the World, one apparently crossing into the United States just last Saturday for the Biden Administration to wait until it crossed the entire nation before shooting it down. Meanwhile another ballon was found floating in Latin Americal. And with the recent backlash, President Trump had to deny a claim by an anonymous source that baloons were present during his administration. The US House of Representatives has plenty of work cut out for them, considering the impeachment of Mayorkas over the southern border crisis, the subpoenas of the FBI Director and US Attorney General over targeting parents. and calling former Twitter executives to testify over censorship of the Hunter Biden Laptop story. And despite the [ialready-released report by the DOJ itself[/i] over his funding, the Democrats vow to audit John Durham over his investigation into the source of the Russia Collusion hoax. For court cases, a US Judge ruled that the anonymous sources of Bankrupt NTX's Sam Bankman-Fried's enormous bail fund need to be revealed. Meanwhile, it didn't take long for a jury to find that Elon Musk did not defaud investors in with 2018 Tweets. Recalls of Eyedrops and cancer-causing sunscreens, Phizer caught banning Twitter posts and and considering mutating Covid, Biden's offering Russia part of Ukraine for peace, Norway's discovery of Rare Earth Metals, and SO much more hit this week's news.
Stop the Earth. I want to get off! That comical statement has been used time and time again. But this week's Weird Science article states that it may have indeed happened, as scientists stated the planet's core may have stuttered recently and may change direction every seventy years or so.
This week, the tabletop gaming community cheered with victory as D&D WON'T CHANGE ITS OGL!. Hasbro, Inc. caused a major stir last month when they announced that the license for their newly purchased content, Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, would be altered in order to secure ownership of the product's content and seek recompense against third-party companies. However, public outcry and threats of abandonment forced apologies from the company, and the License for the product are now held under Creative Commons where it can no longer be touched. While Steel Beast 6Beets heard about the fiasco in another forum, thinking that Hasbro won't make another attempt. However, DerVVulfman stated that Hasbro cannot touch the creative common license, so nothing retroactive for the past created content can change.

Tech Talk
Bad news hit drug companies in this week's News of the Cyber World as GoodRX had to settle for selling customer info to advertisers. And undercover team Project Veritas recorded a Phizer Exec, so scalding the video that that Facebook wants them banned. Meanwhile, Iranian hackers went after satirical weekly news magazine Charlie Hebdo’s database, demanding a bitcoin ransom lest it reveal customer and company records. The threat of Artificial Intelligence, electric car charger breaches and much more were in this week's cybernews.

Development Discussion
If you wanted to know What's Up among your fellow RMers, it was primates, placeholders and pieces of rock this week. Stating she was inspired by Mars, the god of War, Remi-chan released a video that some may see resemblence to the Major's speech of war in Hellsing Ultimate. After that, she revealed some primate pirates for use in her game. KasperKalamity's temporary placeholder maps have been refined and cut down in quantity while remaining true to his intent. And Kain Nobel's work upon his album continues as he remasteres his video releases.
Praise went all around within the Maps and Screenshots Thread, as Remi-chan gave kudos to JayRay for his finely detailed cavern maps, and KasperKalamity was entranced by the tilework of Remi-chan's rainbow city in the clouds. After that, JayRay posted the title screen to his newest attempt at a gaming project.

Upcoming Projects
More and more work has been revealed by KasperKalamity as Arbor's Eve now has completed interior maps within Villageburg, and posted a tree listing showing sixteen ineriors within the town. It was followed by screenshots of four more maps.
A simple RPG in the works for Hidden Chest, kyonides is showing off the opening to Quick Trip XP, a game he is working upon, the title screen animated.

In kyonides topic for Ruby Scripting, he chose to discuss bad scripting practices, cumbersome means to check the same value for various conditions in both ruby and C++ programming languages. He later showed a script where he was asked told to warn readers about, yet himself thinking no error existed. But after seeing DerVVulfman test the code and get a very unusual response, kyonides felt the code was "a mess made in hell!". It made kyonides even consider going to the Ruby core developers to see about preventing the issue.
Material Development
Event Systems Database
This week, a new feature for RPG Developer Bakin was made available, it allowing one to Turn the HP Display into Hearts!, much like the Zelda, Minecraft or various other family-friendly RPG games. Originally relased by MelonToucan, it is another Bakin event system that JayRay had discovered.
Scripts Database
In order to correct a system that failed to supply the target of spell effects from the player, kyonides wrote two versions of his KMessageTarget plugins for RPGMaker MV. Now, you can see the target's name within the skill action message.
Seeing that RPGMaker MV had a battle log, kyonides chose to create KBattleLog for RPGmaker XP. Now the player can see a record of actions taken during battle, one recorded within a text file when the battle is over.
Are you interested in new methods to kill your player? Do you think that losing your MP should result in death? Then perhaps KPermaDamage by kyonides is for you. Available for all three Ruby-Script editions of RPGMaker.
The newly rebranded KyoAlert now has the ability to deliver alerts based on various objects, be they skills, weapons, gold or other options. Formerly named KItemAlerts, the system now has a fourth port, one for RPGMaker MV. And for an in-game joke, kyonides made a style to mimic Steam alerts.

Art and Design
It isn't often that she chose to do any illustrations with colored pencils, but within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing!, tou can see a sketch of the Eldrich Mortician herself.
Literature Section
For those reading The Curious Story of Milton, Nevada, the legendary author Mark Twain had been relaying how a terrifying army had arrived within the hapless town. And after he relayed that a serbian physicist had a theory to stop the invasion, young Albert became more and more entranced, up to the disturbing set of events that happened only just recently. JayRay's last post was a prologue which had to exclaim the thread itself was a work of fiction, though places and certain events were based on fact.
Special Projects
Red Jester Resources
When it comes to 3D modeling, Jayray just cannot get enough. And with access to the textures provided by Eric Matyas, our modelist has now crafterd some Victorian Style Architectural Renders. Within, you can find marble facades with victorian styled doors, both woodgrain or a pastel seagreen painted finish.
Well, that's it for this week.
