(November 14 to November 20, 2022)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
This week, a number of birthdays were celebrated, starting with a birthday for goamalo. This was followed by those belonging to JayRay and eave enjoying their bit of birthday cake. Later, MiguHideki, longxa762, azx47115 and HGS! all had equal slices of cake. And the birthdays of ClockworkAngel and SoulZetaformGames came before the week ended.

General Chat
Current events were popular viewing if you asked wither Kain Nobel or Remi-chan the question of What are YouTubing? Said content involved the recent crash of ill-famed Crypto-Currency FTX, but went on towards good news regarding the climate.

This week's News of the World began with the missile strike in Poland, first believing it to be from one of Russia's recent barriage of missiles. However, recent correspondence suggested it came from Ukraine's air defence, which Ukraine argues isn't so and wishes to see the blast site and missile wreckage. In any case, most all nations put the blame squarely on Vladimir Putin. The Republican Party now has a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, their first planned investigation being into the Bidens. Immediately Democrat non-profits and activist group warning against misinformation even after it was revealed after waiting over a year that the Biden Laptop story was true. And with the Republican majority, some Democrat members may find them expelled from certain positions for anti-semetism, connections with Chinese spies, and intentional years-long political slander. Anthony Fauci's acceptance to a probe about Covid, a Bombing in Istanbul, Donald Trump's 2024 bid for the White House, GOP scrutiny over Ukraine funding tied to FTX, and much more was in this week's news.

Tech Talk
Talk about Twitter hit this week's News of the Cyber World as traffic hit an all-time high despite numerous employees quit after the takeover by Elon Musk, the new owner stating that the best people were staying. Of the new traffic was a poll with over fifteen million votes, said votes determined that Former President Donald Trump's account has now been restored. And CBS News has resumed posting on Twitter once more. Still, Senate Democrats are now suggesting Twitter is violating consumer protection laws and a breach of an agreement made eleven years before Musk became owner. Meanwhile, Iranian hackers have been exploiting vulnerabilities in unpatched Log4Shell opensource software to siphon away cryptocurrency and government data. And Microsoft now warns users that hackers are using Google Ads to distribute Ransomware.

Beginning this Spring, a notorious group of Chinese Hackers began a massive series of attacks upon government and education systems through the entire Asia Pacific region. The group known as Mustang Panda is a known China-based espionage actor that has existed since at least 2018, has launched attacks in Australia, Japan, Taiwan and other nations in the area.

Forum Games & Nonsense
After some weeks, DerVVulfman found another humorous D&D tale which goes under the name of Pot Head! It tells the tale of rivalry between two magicians, and what may befall when accidents occur.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Steel Beast 6Beets was thrilled seeing What's Up with the RM Work by Remi-Chan, and understood why she took some time off to avoid burnout. And he chuckled at a scene when Mal made her debut. The most ambitious game Remi-chan had worked on, more ambitious than even Perseverance Full Clearance, she finished even more game events, planned to work on shipyard tilesets dealing with designs based upon CoyoteCraft's work, and produced screenshots of characters, planets and pirateships, and youtube videos including a friendly battle among celestial titans. Meanwhile, kyonides showed some screenshots of a quest system, though DerVVulfman inquired if it was an update to an earlier venture. This not the case as kyonides was dissatisfied with his previous work from six years before.

You will be able to see Kain Nobel's work upon a forest tileset within the Maps and screenshots thread. But more than that, a fully rendered map with a subtle erro near the entrance to a cave.

Material Development
Scripts Database
This week, kyonides added a method to access and read INI values within his General Methods XP VX & ACE

If you wanted to implement a refund badge in your RPGMaker games, kyonides created the KGetRefund collection of scripts for RPGMaker XP, RPGMaker VX and RPGMaker VXAce. His initial set didn't have RPGMaker VXAce, the first update adding that particular engine. The second update noted that kyonides revised the code for all three engines.

Resources Database
Within the HALF KAISER BATTLER PROJECT, DerVVulfman had released a second chainmail coif now available for male heroes. But it wasn't enough as he released new versions of his Nasal and Viking helmets with chaoinmail coifs attached.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
While Eric Matyas has beenSharing My Original Music and Sound Effects, he spent a month working upon a series of commissions. Yet, he can take on more and posted a reminder where one can acquire his contact information.

Special Projects
ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
Screenies
Serious mapping development went towards the REGAL Application, now finalizing that the Tiled editor will be official map editor. Using it, Kain Nobel suggests it will be akin to RPGMaker XP's quality in style with nods towards the latter editors. Rather than removing features such as how Terrain Tags were removed for RPGMaker VX's editor, the intent is to include all of the map tile properties while adding new ones previously not considered. Of course, week long posts cannot be covered here, the material offered, videos and screenshots being too extensive.

Well, that's it for this week.
