Do you know how many of your fellow members had birthdays this week? A lot. In fact, this week Benji-Ninja began our list, followed by the shared birthdays of DPhoenix29, Alyon93 and Davesss with no cake wasted this time. We had a four way tie when ghdfans2010's, veniceisdying's, TDark's and PirateX's came and went. These were followed soon after by vantuan1211's birthday. And this week wrapped up as Yojimbo and d_a_renoir shared the same birthday.
General Chat
A comical method to prepare ramen was found according to DerVVulfman if you asked him What Are Youtubing?
There is barely a week where China didn't make the News of the World, recently annoncing preparations for war. This while China and Pakistani leadership pleged to expand their 'socio-economic' cooperation,Australia's Prime Minister suggesting to open dialog with China's Xi Jinping, and Germany's Chancellor met with Xi Jinping strengthen ties rather than decouple from the authoritarian regime. The Wall Street Journal reported that secret talks between the Kremlin and White House about de-escalating the war in Ukraine to avoid nuclear conflict, both parties having declined to comment. But during these apparent talks, Ukraine continued making gains in re-taking their territory such as the city of Kherzon as they beat the invading Russian troops back to the Dnipro River. And with the US Mid-Term elections, there were a number of interesting bulletins, whether it be Arizona's solved issue with tabulating votes, the city of Philadelphia changing voting rules despite it violating Federal law, a Democrat winning a Pennsylvania election despite being deceased, and much more. The news this past week has been stranger indeed.

Tech Talk
During US elections one could understand why cyberattacks on servers in Illinois and websites in Mississippi would hit the News of the Cyber World. But so too did issues with Google and various platforms influencing voter opinions as a report detailed. Bad news for Facebook as the Zuckerberg now cuts over 11,000 jobs. And under Elon Musk, Twitter took down thousands of fake NFT accounts created before his takeover, these accounts meant to scam users of their virtual accounts. And randomware hit the news whether it be a delicate connection with Russia, a concerted 4-year campaing against African banks, or the arrest of a man with dual Russian and Canadian nationalities involved in LockBit ransomware attacks worldwide.
Games Development
Development Discussion
This week, Steel Beast 6Beets was the voice of rationality if you asked anyone What's up about some of the forum RMers, especially where two polar opposites briefly collided. Sparks flew last week, a set of fireworks which impressed Steel Beast with Remi-chan replying that a friend of hers was the actual creator of the effect. The activity imspired him futher to work on his game's main quest, only to realize how much of his game's maps have been already created. The screenshots which Kain Nobel supplied detailed how dangerous the war-torn terrain of his game will be. Remi-chan showed the roadmap of the game events she has left, a deadly harpy rendered by a colleague, and a variety of in-game screenshots. And kyonides, after working upon his toggle buttons, inquired what other script features he could create.

If you wanted to plan ahead in your game, the KNextSkills by kyonides would let you know what your next set of default skill will be when you level up. This feature is availabe within all three of the RPGMaker ruby-script engines, and even a version for RPGMaker MV.
The element ranks system can now go through an overhaul if you chose to use KElementRate for either RPGMaker XP or VX.
More work on KToggleButtons ensured that the feature with both multiple choice options and single choice options. Kain Nobel supplied some graphics and told kyonides to keep up the work.
Even though map events allow it, kyonides added a variety of new General Methods XP VX & ACE to manually do math within the Game_Variable class. And in the same vein, he added options to manually toggle a range of switches within the Game_Switches class. He later updated both KRandomTeleport and KToad with versions that works for RPGMaker VX. And now that he has RPGMaker MV, he adapted a version of KyoDiscounts to work with MV as well.

Earlier this week, DerVVulfman added a pair of chainmail leggings to the male battlers within the HALF KAISER BATTLER PROJECT. And near the end of the week, he added a chainmail coif for female warriors.

Screenies
The work on the REGAL Editor Application continued this week as Kain Nobel attempted to generate errors and finding few to none. His next study foray will be into the means to actually create meps, and his mapper of choice appears to be Tiled, a detailed map editor that is supposed to be open source. Along with that, custom shaders were also added. And he showed them both off. Remi-chan inquired whether certain features such as a spell-checker, the ability to create image menus, or text extraction tools could be added, the latter of which DerVVulfman said he already had and had no qualms if it and other he wrote could be included in the set. Kain had already put the text extractor to good use, but was intrigued by the others. Be prepared for a good number of screenshots.
Well, that's it for this week.
