(October 3 to October 9, 2022)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Announcements and Updates
It may come to a surprise to many in the community but Kain Nobel just reported that RPG Maker is now changes Publishers. The company known as Gotcha Gotcha games the develops the RPGMaker line will now also be its publisher, no longer having Komodo (the predecessor to Degica) to depend upon. However, the Komodo plaza site will still handle the non-steam (or standalone) sales and the DLC content for now. There is a website which you can use to contact Gotcha Gotcha games for further inquiry.

Occasions
This week, we had plenty of reasons to celebrate, mainly due to the number of birthdays that came and went. First this week was a birthday celebration for Taylor, which was later followed by the birthday collective belonging to zyeard and Keeroh. After that, the birthday of kreuzraven came and went. And after that Iqus and Tei had birthdays to celebrate. Finally, MikeCirka, Thejuster and Suave88 had shared some cake before the week ended.

General Chat
Things went sour for US President Biden according to the News of the World. For just after he called on gas stations to lower their prices, OPEC undermined the administration by cutting back on their sales. And not long after, the FBI leaked they had enough to charge the President's son with firearm and tax evasion charges. Illegal activity regarding elections continue to be revealed as a woman pled guilty to illegally harvesting ballots for Democrats in Arizona. And the head of the Konnech Corporation was arrested for stealing LA County election worker data, and storing it in servers in China. And of China, it appears they set up multiple police outposts to coerce former Chinese citizens to return, including one such station in New York which likely violates U.S. laws. Exploding electric cars, Paypal's threat to fine users for 'misinformation', Australia's CPAC in Sidney tareted by far-left liberal activists, and much more hit this week's news.

Forum Games & Nonsense
This week heralds the appearance of The Incredible Flying Dragonborne! A comical short tale relayed by the DM of a Pen-n-Paper campaign, it tells the tale of a group of heroes with dragon blood flowing through their veins. And how a misfortune was turned into an unexpected advantage in combat.

Games Development
Development Discussion
The subject of programming or scripting turned out to be What's up among some RMers like Steel Beast 6Beets as he and Kain Nobel discussed script compatability, the use or distrain of the older RPGMaker XP SDK. After hearing some of Kain Nobel's work on Soundcloud, it appears that Remi-chan may be looking at him to be her next game's composer. kyonides was wondering what game engine to acquire next after having purchased all ruby-scripted editions of the RPGMaker line. And some words on tackling development burn-out were brought up this week by Kain Nobel.

Upcoming Projects
Be amazed as a new trailer for Fantasia: Surreal Cosmic Progeny has been released. The third arc trailer, Remi-chan plans the third arc demo to come out by the end of the year.

Creativity Section
Art and Design
Magic and wonder appears within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thingie as the Kitsune Sage of Mysticism herself now appears in an Epic piece. Rendered by Remi-chan this week, the progress of this work can be viewed by way of another speed-draw video.

Well, that's it for this week.
