(February 21 to February 27, 2022)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
There were a few birthdays we got to celebrate this week, starting with Parkman202's and wombats's. And it wasn't long after that before we got to celebrate a birthday for Az'. After that, Tigurus Fay enjoyed some birthday cake. And by this weekend, Darkantuan's and AkiseDogma's birthdays had come and gone.

General Chat
This week, the lack of creativity was What's on the Mind of Kyonides, though writing a piece of fiction based on the events in Ukraine was something he's considered to get him out of the funk. Meanwhile, Kain Nobel found that a software apps company out of the Czeck Republic is hiring.

The threat against Ukraine hit the News of the World in full as Putin ordered Russian troops to invade. Following this, US and Western Allies filed harsh sanctions against Russia for its acts of aggression, including the removal of Russian Banks from the international payment system. And the European Union chose to close all airspace to Russian airlines while increaing the list of sanctions to announce. In response to the sanctions and Western Response, Putin called his nuclear forces to be on high alert, bringing a dire threat. On a lighter side, we learn about a Kangaroo on the loose in Denmark, the actual pick-pocketing of a German Chancellor in a supermarket, and much more.

Games Development
Development Discussion
The work upon Remi-chan's game is constant, if you were to ask her What's up as a fellow RMers. This week, she posted three vignettes she has on Youtube, three scenes of dramatis within her game. The first, an optional event that may be passed by involving a family reunion that is interrupted by a falling shadow. The second, part of the main story line where a higher power brings forth a reveal to all, one that would shatter their entire perception of reality. And the third, a battle between equal powers that may number infinite.

A couple years ago, kyonides started a thread to discuss Popular Battle Systems. But he noticed that no updates or posts were made since.

A thesus was presented by kyonides about the way programming languages worked, entitled Learning + Programming + Speed. Within, he compared some known computer languages and gave a glossary of some terms to describe which had faster processing and why.

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
For those that love to create a game with a noir detective feel, be glad that Eric Matyas is Sharing His Original Music, a pair entitled Stage Door and Sodium Vapor on his City/Urban page.

Art and Design
It isn't often that merely one piece of art appears within Remi-chan's Neato Arty thread thing!. But when it does, be assured it will be a full art image of one of her original characters. While in full color, the The Rising Hellstar she has on display is still a rough draft in Remi's opinion; flat colors and no shading currently present.

Literature Section
A pair of Remi-chan's Writing Snippets graced us this week. How would one feel to face shame manifest? And of manifestations, one of Remi-chan's heroines made manifest a power that a dark force could not argue.

Within kyonides's tale, Saddening Rain the protagonist has to deal with his aged partner on the beat.

Special Projects
ReGaL (RPG Game Lab)
Screenies
This weekend, Kain Nobel posted more screenshots of the upcoming Project : REGAL Application. Currently holding temporary data, the screen shows a widget that holds and alters the General, Keyboard and Gamepad settings.

Well, that's it for this week.
