(July 5 to July 11, 2021)

Welcome dear readers to the latest issue of the Weekly Gazette! Here in the Gazette, we give you the news in brief of what occurred in the past week as well as provide any news happening in Save-Point itself

Official Area
Occasions
This week, notsoawesome started up an account as he takes a crack at using RPGMaker to make a game. DerVVulfman wondered what kind of game info or resources he was interested in.

This week, a number of birthdays were celebrated, starting with the birthdays of akoo, davidenglander and dragoness. Later, Flare Knight and Shadi had shared birthdays. Towards the middle of the week, the birthday of EagleEye1990 also went by. After that, the reason to celebrate continued as Ramiro, ShinGamix and Areditboy had a birthday to celebrate. And next, we had the shared birthdays of both Narzew and Arkleo with no birthday cake going to waste. And this week ended as we celebrated Samven's and DuongCool's birthday.

General Chat
Would you believe that Fortnite entered the News of the World? It was almost banned in Indonesia because a private user created a map that included a sacred muslim holyplace that some thought could be destroyed in-game. Facebook, Twitter and most of Big Tech now faces a class action lawsuit led by Donald Trump and the America First Policy Institute over censorship. And Fox News's Tucker Carlson stated that he was illegally unmasked and his eMails obtained by the NSA were to be used to attack his credibility. Somehow, Joel Caston had been elected to an official government office, despite being a convicted and still incarcerated inmate of a DC prison. His duties will have him oversee the Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter, new luxury apartments and D.C. Jail where he is serving his time.. Wildfires, Voting Rights, Billionaires in Space and a prelim to a wild fight between Pacquiao and Spence also hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
This week, the News of the Cyber World is replete with the good, the bad and the watchful. New origami-like technology may make microchips 100x smaller and boost the power of all devices using them. At least 170 apps at Google Play were found to be mere malware, luring those interested in investing in cryptocurrency. And a new Cyberattack Defence Center opened in New York City, working with government agencies, various interest groups, the NYPD, IBM, the Federal Reserve and much more.

It appears that Windows 10 IS STILL Unsafe! as a critical bug involved with the Print Spooler which was detected and thought patched was found to still be present and let the system be vulnerable to hackers. A bug bad enough to warrant an alert from a U.S. Cybersecurity agency, Microsoft was pressured to release a new security update for Windows 7 which they had previously ended support last year.

Material Development
Scripts Database
There was some issues within the Dynamic Maps Expanded script, as it failed to save the newly updated map data according to Melana. Indeed, that was the case. But while Melana considered utilizing new Marshal Load and Save commands to handle the data, DerVVulfman altered the system so the data was contained within the Game_System class itself. With that, he found no need for the earlier required Title or Load classes. Melana saw that and updated her project, finding no problems with the update.

Resources Database
It appears that something new has shown up with the HALF KAISER BATTLER PROJECT, a white Tank-Top shirt that can be worn by male battlers. DerVVulfman posted it this week, and posted a shot of it worn with a comical nod to it looking like Bruce Willis in Die Hard (1988).

Creativity Section
Music and Audio
Eric Matyas is still Sharing His Original Music and Sound FX, now presenting us with two new entertaining tracks that DerVVulfman thought were reminiscent of Tenchi Muyo. But as always, Eric is available for custom music as he may be able to create a track in a matter of mere hours rather than days.

Literature Section
Life seems to be hard for Cheesie James The Rodent Annoyance, as kyonides's second chapter takes us back before CJ's first mission, one where Cadet James felt he uncovered a conspiracy with a respected member of the Rodent Council. Now, eyes are watching him closely.

Just when you thought you heard all about the Conspiracies Retold, be prepared to find out about the attacks on 9/11, and the long deserted member of the forum who may have been the mastermind.

Well, that's it for this week.
