 Videogames that celebrate Birthdays
#1
Everyone has a birthday. And as such, every year, it's celebrated, or celebrated late if your friends and family are pretty busy. Some videogames also celebrate birthdays, so I'm going to list all the videogames I've played that celebrate birthdays.
  1. Pokémon 3DS Games - The only ones in the 3DS line I can confirm is Pokémon Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, Pokémon Sun/Moon, and Pokémon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon as I do not have Pokémon X/Y. On your birthday, the next time you enter a Pokémon Center, You get an equivalent of a surprise party, but without any birthday gifts for your trainer. The Pokémon Center's BGM changes too for your entire birthday.
  2. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - I never done it when I borrowed my brother's PS3 copy of the game, but on the birthdate you've set in the beginning of the game, when you return to Mother Base, the entire base gives (not) Big Boss a surprise party. Oh and if you have Quiet in your base, she'll snipe (not) Big Boss' cigar lit.
  3. Gran Turismo 6 (Before Servers got shut down) - When you start Gran Turismo 6, and you aren't in a suspended race, you get a free car from the year you were born. Sadly, since the servers are long since shutdown, you can no longer receive birthday presents from this game anymore... :'(
That's pretty much it. If I find another game that celebrates birthdays, I'll post it in this thread.

Welp, not really videogame related, but.... It's a company that makes videogames.

4. Nintendo - When the month of your birthday starts, you get an email from Nintendo, usually before your birthday. This is their way of celebrating birthdays so far as I know. you get a discount on certain games in the Nintendo e-shop all month. They also give you some free stuff, which is probably wallpapers and printables. Not sure if it's because you opted in a newsletter or not, but hey. You get a early birthday present from the company responsible for Mario, Zelda, and others.

An addition to what I posted earlier this month.

On the Day of your birthday, Nintendo gives you an extra thing. If you have signed up for My Nintendo, which replaced Club Nintendo years back, you get 300 Platinum Points to use at the My Nintendo site. I'm unsure if this is a one time thing for me or not, but it's something.

Mainly confirmed by my dad, but...

5. Gran Turismo Sport - On your birthday, you get a free car. However, you have to get on the game from your birthday to 15 days after to get the car. Since this game is considered an always online game, you'll pretty much have to be online to even get the most out of the game, and be able to play the majority of the game that isn't just the Arcade Mode with preset cars.

6. Fate/Grand Order - In My Room, on your birthday, one of your acquired Servants will say "Happy Birthday" to you in his/her own way.

Because the game lets me set a birthday, and said something would happen...

7. Genshin Impact - Don't really know what happens on the day you set as your birthday. I'll figure that out when I hit 29 years old, as this game was released after my recent birthday. So far, all I know is something might happen, but that's all I got.

I recently had my birthday, basically a really yummy looking cake comes in the mail, on use it gives you a fragile resin and the cake is kept! It is quite a nice gift seeing how useful 60 bonus Resin can be!

Ah. I see. I'll jot that down sometime later.

Just found out RIGHT NOW!

8. Pokemon Sword/Shield - Pretty much similar to the 3DS games, but seems..... quicker than the previous games. Other than that, it's the same thing. You get birthday wishes from Nurse Joy, and that's all. No actual birthday gift from any NPC, so far as I know. And because of the Nintendo Switch's Record Feature, which records from 30 seconds prior to holding the capture button, I tweeted this out! HAHA!

9. Tower of Fantasy - After you have a birthday set, and the clock hits that day, you receive a mail from Claudia. The message pretty much says "Happy Birthday" in the character's own words. The attachment is as follows, at least when I received the mail.

- 100 of a currency, the image is a black cube thing
- 1 Birthday Cake

The currency is self explanatory. The Birthday Cake restores 60 Vitality, so you can use more vitality in things like Joint Operations and such.
