kingray100 Wrote:I'm sure that is the case towards the end, no doubt. He just seems like he'd be some regular foot soldier who escorts the main party somewhere it terms of strength. Right now, I think even my healer Aziza hits harder than Titus many times, which is sad.(She has the Whale Whisker I believe, which is a strong weapon!) I currently have Titus' strongest weapon atm which is like the Falchon weapon. Aziza is only 2 ATK less than Titus. Did I miss a weapon??
As for edges, I will be honest. I don't have too much experience using them and figuring out the details of them. I like to save up edges for bosses in particular. So I will take your word for it. As for the most consistent physical damage, its definitely Daniel. He's super fast, and his attacks hit hard, plus he has some useful debuffs(which I'm not sure really affect many bosses). Feels like Daniel is the Main character in this story lol.

If Aziza is hitting harder than Titus, you have a problem! Looking back at the weapon list, he should be the same attack as everyone else in terms of weapons. My guess is that you don't have him optimized using accessories that maximize strength. I suggest going to Antiles and buying the best strength-enhancing accessories and putting them on him. You didn't miss a weapon yet, the next one you get, the Blue Saber, will do wonders, as it will give you the "Aerial Dash" skill I mentioned earlier and a new Edge. Edges are just like limit breaks in the FF series. Use them as often as you get them, as they fill up quickly. Daniel is one of the best character due to his speed and strength. He is in the top 4 to be sure, with Adana alongside him.

kingray100 Wrote:Ya, that's really a cool idea. It's just that the enemies don't really tell me what they are weak against. Aside from undead being weak vs fire, everything else I kind of just guess. There isn't a tutorial about how characters work or what their strong points are, or whether Crimson would maybe hit this certain enemy harder with his attack, etc.

Well the idea was for the player to guess by the enemy's attacks and through trial and error. It was the hope to make it challenging and interesting at the same time, like chess! The whole "slashing, piercing, blunt, and magical" idea, taken from D&D, was supposed to give the challenge of figuring out what enemies are weak against each attack type. You can tell each weapons type in the menu. Crimson is best used as a disabler and stealing, which can be very helpful when fighting regular enemies.

kingray100 Wrote:Really? If so, that's impressive. Especially in Namarra, it was horrible when I was walking on the rooftops lol. There was this guy who was walking on one of the beams I was trying to cross and I had to push him from one side to the other slowly, just to find out it was the wrong way lol. Or in the one town, I think Kingston, where I went to the right of town by the fountain, and it was completely blocked off to the right of the fountain by 2 NPCs looking at it, and the left had like 3 NPCs shuffling around blocking portions of the path I have to take. Once you get past them, there is like a path with flowers lining a walkway on the left side of the town. You can't walk on the flowers here for some reason. But the pathway is only 1 square big. So I'm forced to try to push some flower girl to the other side of the walkway just to make it to the other side of town. I usually map out walk routes my NPCs take so they never get in the way. Or I at least make sure there's plenty of room to move around otherwise. It's not that big of a deal, but I figured you would want as much feedback on even trivial things as possible. As a game creator myself, I know things like this would pique my interest as well.

Noted! If I ever go back and upgrade (which I might!), I will definitely remove some of the annoying NPC's. I had no idea they were that annoying! I guess I probably had no trouble because I knew where to go every time!

kingray100 Wrote:One last question: I went to that underground place under the library. I loved the atmosphere and it seemed a little scary at first. At the end, I fought the one zombie boss guy. He seemed manageable but then he had this like edge ability or something where he would attack a person 5 times. His attacks did like 600+ damage each hit. Is that supposed to be an auto kill move or something? It seemed excessive. (The armor Titus was wearing was I believe like Iron armor, which seems to be like the best armor at the moment. The armor is kind of vague in regards to what it's best at. The stat changes are seemingly minimal and often have down sides many times. Since Titus can wear a large variety of armor, I don't understand if my armor is optimal. They are rarely a straight upgrade from the previous armor I had.)

The "Ghost King's" "Criss-Cross" attack is only supposed to hit 4 times, so it shouldn't be a party killer, but it may kill 1-2 people. You should have well over 1000+ HP by this time, so I would be surprised if it killed everyone. Have you tried using summons? You can summon one of the spirits to fight alongside each battle, which are great for bosses. Because undead are weak against fire, I suggest Udiya against the Ghost King. Her Edge would probably take out 1/4 of his total HP.

Regarding the armor, typically just buying the next armor at the store is the best upgrade. Heavier armor is more defensive but lowers strength, dexterity, and speed. Lighter armor is less defensive but doesn't lower stats. The idea was to give people options on how to play the character in the way they wanted. I know this is a vague answer, but hopefully you choose what you want based on your style of play.

kingray100 Wrote:But otherwise, it's a very interesting game. My favorite team is Adana, which nukes everything with her drain ability, Daniel, who is just the best at everything physical, and Zeth, for his powerful buffs and spells. And they just drag Titus along because they have to lol. I do switch out Daniel for Leon if I'm fighting undead, like the ghost ship I'm grinding in(just got adaj stone thing). But I definitely miss how fast Daniel is, compared to slow Leon lol. Interesting dynamics!

Glad you like it! And it's about to get a whole lot more interesting. Once you get all of the pages and go through the temples (you may need help with the puzzles, so just ask if that's the case!), it starts to pick up and answer some questions that have been lingering. That's a great choice of team! I would use similar tactics, switching Tiberius for Zeth as necessary. If you can figure out how to make Titus your best attacker, the game will be 100% more fun. My friend, the dynamics will only get better. Be on the lookout for a "hidden" character later in the game. She is the most powerful all around caster ;).

"I suggest going to Antiles and buying the best strength-enhancing accessories and putting them on him"

Ok. Just seems a little unorthodox for the strongest main protagonist to only stand out by using some STR accessory lol. Figured his base ATK would have set him apart from his healer lol.

Well it's a single target that hits about 4 times. 4x600= 2400 HP damage.
My guys all had over 2000 HP. Titus probably had like 2000-2500 HP or so at the time when being hit. He died still. Keep in mind I have him with heavy armor too. I've also done a little grinding here and there to try to keep up. Guess it's just the difficulty spike in the game lol. This is hard mode, for sure.

"Regarding the armor, typically just buying the next armor at the store is the best upgrade. Heavier armor is more defensive but lowers strength, dexterity, and speed."

Ah, ok. Seems like heavy armor in general isn't that great then, unless some enemy solely does physical attacks. Might explain why Titus is weak, since he is using heavy armor. Light armor it is, then.

Yup, just got all the pages. I will keep you updated if I need more help. Thanks again!
