I think Haseo "The Terror of Death" fits into your anti'hero mold.Was very well executed and the dot hack series was a good example of character development as well.hehe I'm a big fan of the series so I might hvae a bit of a bias. ^_^

Anyway you can make a tutorial about villians with multistage plans?I'm finding it hard to come up with something that isn't cookie cutter.
