Okay, so... I stopped doing DaVinci spriting because I found the headache of creating a humanoid sprite was both too taxing on me as a person with limited 3d software capabilities, budget, EULA hindrances, and more... So I decided to lend my artistic natures to crafting more items and equipment for a great 3d Render sprite artist, Jesse of PV Games. His sprites are the cat's pajamas, and I encourage you to definitely check out and buy his resources... He has resources for RMMV as well as RMXP/RMVXAce.

Anyway, like I was saying... as a helping aid for people who want to create free resources and use the sprite template itself to do their own thing, Jesse created a FREEBIES pack that he gave away. Let me tell you, it's kind of awesome.

These sprites DO include two male and female body forms, several clothing items, and wow! eight more hair styles in addition to the 14 or 15 that you could find from his other sets...

PV Games Medieval Freebies

Here's just a few images that I could piece together from his own thread.

I would definitely encourage any and all to pick up this download. It IS a bit hefty at around 160 megs, but has SO many items inside, this really is an awesome pack. Including the full 506 frame master sheet, busts, paperdolls, and I just... it's a great addition to those of us who have already purchased the Medieval sets. It also could probably be resized to be compatible with the HORDE of items in the High Fantasy series and sets for RMXP/RMVXAce.

Free sound effects!
I just stumbled onto this website: http://freetousesounds.com/
They make all their own recordings and post them all completely free with a Creative Commons (Attribution) license. AMAZING.

What does this mean, Monsieur LeFoxy?
It means you can use the recordings for free in any project so long as you give them credit for the resources. This is super generous of them since the recordings are of such a high standard (that coming from me!).

Enjoy!

Some examples I love:
http://freetousesounds.com/morning-fores...g-germany/
How to use:
Load the video, listen to the sound. Is there a sound in there that you want? If so, download the "wave" file (button below the video) and open it in an audio editor (Audacity is free). Cut it down to the part you want and import it into your project. Done! Easy!

I found a pretty awesome World Map tileset with over 4,000 tiles. (Yes, 4 THOUSAND tiles!)

The tileset is by The Inquisitor over at RPG Palace.
They are apparently all original assets, though if something ripped is found, please let me know.

The tileset itself is very well done, but setting the passability for those tiles one by one would become a nuissance, no?
Well, thanks to Insane Cal over at the website, it was done, along with a DEMO!
The demo can be found on the same page, just click "Demo" and download! The file is fairly small.
Simply copy-paste the tileset's settings, grab the autotiles from the demo if you so wish, and voila! All done!

In the demo, there is an example map showing what can be done with it, so it's worth checking out.

<fieldset>First Seed Material Total RMXP Conversion</fieldset>

What I hope to accomplish here is simply this - Take all the FSM/REFMAP materials, and convert them, chipsets, facesets, and more, over to RMXP sizes and uses, converting directly from the 16px tilesets to a 32px tileset in a way that will fit the needs of RMXP'ers, and charactersets, that will not only be RMXP compatible, but be sized to fit the converted tiles, all without blurring the pixels of the original sprites. Going for a different style of RTP here. Click any of the characters to save their RMXP template.

To Edit thiese to be RMXP compatible.

The character sets are in columns of three, so you will need to add an additional idle column to the left, and make the graphic centered for the RMXP 4 frame animation. It also appears that the charactersets are in a different order. The order you really need would put row 1 at the bottom, row 4 at the top and rows 2 and 3 switched. I will make the effort to transpose those a bit at a time, but as there are easiily over a 1000 characters this might take a while...

Hello people.
I'm new to this place and joined in order to find myself side-view battlers for the game I'm currently working on.
However, it seems like most of the battlers that were once out there are now gone for different reasons.
Anyways, I've decided to make my own battlers for my game since I need multiple custom characters and I always find it that my work is most suitable for my needs exactly.

So, I have finished a first idle pose of the 050-Soldier02 character with a sword.
More are sure to come too, including his animations.
Note that this is not going to be compatible with Minkoff's Animated Battlers system or any other system, as I use my own battle system based on the vanilla one.
Tell me what you think!
More to come in the future.

If you're like me, creating tilesets throguh Photoshop, and are currently working with H-Mode 7, you'll know that H-Mode counts tiles from left to right and top to bottom to open the side textures of any texture tile that has an Hmap that's not black, and adds those side textures to that tile. If you're working with a bit tileset, however, this can be a daunting task for you, especially if you're counting into the triple or even quadruple digit tiles to find that one tile to edit. This layer is simply a ruler of sorts. Place it over your tileset during construction, on the left column, approximately 40 pixels from the top and you should have an effective counter of your tiles. the counter goes from 8 to 2200 tiles, and from there you can count across to the tile you need and be able to texture build your level with not just ground accuracy and perfect, but be able to create effective walls of unique tiles where no two tiles are alike!

Amazing results, take my word for it, or just look at my game thread to see how this can work for you.
