The basic idea was for the heroine to embark on a quest that would take her between a few of the Fae Courts of Celtic myth and be the town's savior.  But a town needs citizens, and what I initially began with was highly orchestrated chaos with how everyone moved into position... and dialogue timing.  Be funny to get Voice Overs...

Meh, I essentially got as far as "The dragonborn finally escaping a dragon and getting into the keep in Helgen." ...  Skyrim reference.

Controls: Use the arrow keys to move and enter to interact and select commands if you're using a keyboard. If you're using a laptop and don't have a controller it's highly recommended that you use a wireless or USB mouse to play the game if you need to move the camera during the game play and you have to right click with the mouse to bring up the menu. If you're using an Xbox controller the controls are: Right joy stick to move, left joy stick to move the camera. A to interact and select commands. Start button on the left o view the menu, B to exit and cancel.
Please bare in mind this is the first game I made in RPG Developer Bakin.
Known bugs:
Sometimes the battles lag.
For some reason the music for the first final boss form doesn't loop.(Not sure why)
Also the game uses unlimited and eight material vrms so loading can be slow. I enabled the use internal files option in RPG Developer Bakin so the game should load faster than it would have without it enable. If you're having trouble loading the game close it out and open it again. You can also try going into settings and lower things.

Long ago there was a great battle between two gods. Spheria and Reis. Spheria was the goddess of light. Reis was the god of order. Reis descended upon the world of Zelnor in human form. However he was treated poorly by the people. He became filled with rage and stole the Spear of Destiny to rule over everyone as punishment. However the goddess Spheria stepped in and stopped.  She tried to reason with him but he wouldn't listen so she took the Spear of Destiny and made sure he couldn't do anything. However it was stated he'll return eventually.
The story starts with a man named Harken who lost his mother at a young age. He vowed to be come a knight to protect others and was granted the Spear of Destiny that is now only reserved for the light knight and they must be pure of heart.

Based on a fairly recent strategy game, I present you the sketch of its first(?) demake that will attempt to replicate SOME of its interesting features if possible.

As I have stated somewhere else, it is a mix of the Age of Empires series and Lords of the Realm 2 plus some other secondary features as well.

The game's basic goals are:
  • to defend your base camp from all kinds of threats
  • build your economy
  • train your military forces
  • expand your territory as much as possible
  • defeat your rivals plus the so called neutral factions (mythical creatures)

Basic Menu Options:
  • Pick your favorite clan or faction
  • Check its leader and its tech tree
  • Pick your foes or let the engine do it randomly

Basic Ingame Data:
  • Shows the current year, the season might be added later on
  • Shows 7 stats on top of the game screen

Basic Game Mechanics
  • A day last 2 seconds
  • A month last 1 minute
  • A year last 12 minutes
  • Your warchiefs get paid twice a month, earning 4 or 0 Fame or even losing 8 Fame based on the economy

Concerning the factions and their leaders, I will use the RMXP default actors as the base for developing the initial clans.

Mercenary Types: As you pick your 3 Mercenaries to battle the Christmas-haters and become Heroes of Christmas, you will be able to pick between three types of mercenaries.

Tank: Tank-type mercenaries have high survivability to protect themselves and the party. They can provoke enemies to target them in their allies' stead. Their defenses are initially strong, but most tanks aren't fit to deal heavy damage to enemies.

Nuker: Nuker-type mercenaries are the main damage dealers. They can dish out heavy physical or magical damage to the enemy ranks, but they lack the survivability to protect themselves from enemy retaliation.

Support: Support-type mercenaries are versatile characters who can heal allies HP and MP, give party buffs and shields, and debuff enemies (Depending on the support character's skills.) Their survivability isn't as great as a tank's, and their damage-dealing is not as great as a nuker's, but they're rather decent at both aspects.

Elemental Triangle: Both players and enemies will have Elemental Affinities (Physical, Force, and Arcane) and will be affected by the Elemental Triangle weakness system.

In this land, that time itself forgot, a full-out war is preparing to ensue. Diplomacy between The Empire and The Kingdom has failed. Tensions grow in all corners of the land, and so does the desperation of its people.
Peace is nothing but a tender reminiscence.

While this is happening, The Church, the bastion of hope and spirituality in this fallen world, has lost many followers to doubt and despair. Some are turning to venerate other entities, known as The Lesser Ones, for they often grant the yearnings of those who adore them, giving their followers the comfort and prosperity they were supposedly entitled.

"For where is the Lord in these agonizing moments, when we need Him most?"

An old tale is also reappearing amidst the chaos.

The tale of The Sleeping Hummingbird, a mystical object that supposedly contains immeasurable powers, and anyone willing to locate it will receive a single wish.

A wish that the heart most desires.

Once believed to be just a myth, the tale began to be retold again by people who "heard its call".
Nobody knows where its location hides. Its calling, however, has never been so loud.
Now, even in times of tension, many adventurers are trying their hardest to find it to have their wish granted. Maybe one of them may even revert all this dire situation with it.

Meanwhile, Azriel, an old guardian, is asked by a mysterious stranger to retrieve such a mystical object. He then, with three other adventurers, prepare for what will be the most difficult mission of their lives.

ABOUT THIS GAME
Alterium Shift is a retro JRPG inspired indie game with three unique story paths.
Story:
Choose between three heroes in training; Pyra, Atlas, and Sage. Their teacher, Dolion, strives to mold his students into heroes, ones better than himself. The three heroes are taking their final test before being sent off on an important and life changing mission. Each character has a unique story path to experience and each path is filled with choices that are directed by the player. Long time ago there was a huge crisis in a remote place only known as Kustom Town. There was a dispute that was left unresolved for years to come. Curiously, their inhabitants didn't seem to have aged even a little bit. The elderly remain as fragile as they were originally, and the younglings remained as stupid or misguided as ever. At least that was the impression some of their residents gave the recently conquered land of Arkadia.

Under a new administration, the new region had to select the best guy for the vacant office of the governor of Arkadia. Kustom Town has become insignificant in the world of politics once again. Or so it seemed at first glance. Confused

There were a few candidates coming from that remote village, namely Bounty Hunter Lani and Alex. Some people might ask me to add Wizard Trickster to this list, but being honest with you, his true origins are Happy with a sweat unknown to pretty much the whole Mad Scientist scientific, Gamer gamer and Reporter politics communities.


What are they up to now? Sarcasm
Why is Wulfo not a candidate as well? Indifferent
Why is nobody stopping Alex from running for that office? Confused

Along the way, you will also find another mysterious character. It is no other but Melana Dreameow and her black cat Meowmoon. The girl is quite friendly from people's general perspective, still, she has no real allies. Shocked

Is she trustworthy? Confused
Is she a forest Witch witch?
What are her actual plans for Arkadia? Incredible 

At the same time, the Imperial Prince Horizon (just a placeholder here) ordered the creation of some sort of province order of knights, fighters and spearmen, basically a medieval version of a police force. First let me start by saying I LOVE the ChargenEX by DerVVulfman

However, if you've ever played Smile Game Builder, you know that we use a little bit of a different format for our characters, and so I went about trying to re-template the HKCP character templates to better align to the Smile Game Builder Engine. 

So, I'm making a character generator. Now granted there's no instant Alpha Transparency, or even mouse movement... but, the concept is simple enough that I can get behind it and use it to help me.... and you.... make trillions of combinations of character pieces.

Instead of trying to create dozens of outfits and costumes, dresses and armors, the premise behind this character generator is to build each character part uniquely. Create pieces that can be added together to create multitudes of Create-A-Characters. Once finished editing your character, you would have to do cntrl-Alt-Shift-PrintScreen to get a screen, but then with some simple cropping, new character.
