Sometime ago when I asked a missionary about how were things in Angola he mentioned there was no real religious persecution there. Their only problem was their lack of knowledge plus their poverty, of course.
Now the Angolan government is shutting down several large churches. Obviously they needed a motive to validate their claims; they accused them of fraud and money laundering among other things. They're serious charges indeed.
Sadly, we can't tell if they'll just stop there. You see, African governments aren't well known for being respectful of democracy and people's rights.
