El Ministerio de Salud de Costa Rica estudia el primer caso sospechoso de coronavirus. La paciente es una mujer costarricense de 52 años, vecina del cantón de Pococí.
Aparentemente la mujer estuvo en Italia y Túnez y llegó al país el día 29 de febrero; pero al momento de su ingreso no presentaba síntomas que coincidieran con la definición de caso.
Posteriormente, la mujer empezó a presentar síntomas y al someterla a un examen preliminar, dio resultado negativo por otros tipos de virus respiratorios.

The quote handles about the pacient, a 52 year old woman who lives in Pococí, Limón. She seems to have returned from Italy and Tunisia on February 29th, but she didn't show any symptoms back then. Recently she did show them and preliminary tests were negative for other viruses.

She had traveled with a friend of hers who seems to live in Heredia, Costa Rica. Both, the first suspect's husband and the second patient's mother are isolated as a precaution.

Two New Yorkers were isolated in Costa Rica and are waiting for test results, the American Embassy has been notified. The husband had been in touch with a suspected case in New York City, his wife only started showing symptoms after arriving in Costa Rica.

Hanyang Guobo Fangcang Hospital in Wuhan, China has reported on that a 36-year-old man died of Covid-19 disease that is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus just days after being declared recovered from the disease and discharged from a hospital, raising fresh questions about the risk of recurrence, the criteria used by hospitals to define recovery and the effects of residual viral loads in the human body. He is one of the many cases of such occurrences all over in China over the last two weeks. On Feb. 27, another patient died after being reported recovered in Shanxi province and similar documented occurrences were reported in Zhejiang, Sichuan and Guangdong besides Hubei.

Latest Research Published by Chinese Scientists Say Coronavirus Might Render Certain Male Patients Infertile

According to the new researched published in medrxiv, an open source online medical journal, the coronavirus typically attacks the ACE2 (Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 2)) receptors in human tissues.
 
The team of urology researchers  that comprised of Dr Jianqing Wang, Dr Caibin Fan, Dr Kai Li, Dr Yanhong Ding and Dr Wei Lu focused primarily on renal and testicular tissues as these were also ‘rich’  with ACE2 receptors especially the renal tubular cells, Leydig cells and cells in seminiferous ducts in the testis.
The study results showed that the new coronavirus expressed potent pathogenicity to both renal and testicular tissues with resultant lesions.
The damaged testicular tissues could lead to infertility in most of the male patients.

Dr Kriangsak Atipornvanich and Assoc Prof Dr Suebsai Kongsangdao said that the cure took 48 hours before the coronavirus was removed from secretions in the respiratory system.
“This is not a cure,” Dr Kriangska said. One of the patients received the same treatment but showed allergic reactions. However, the doctors said the result was satisfactory.
The cocktail of drugs includes Oseltamivir that is usually prescribed for Middle East Respiratory Syndrome together with Lopinavir and Ritonavir, which is administered for HIV cases.
Lopinavir and Ritonavir have been used internationally to fight the novel coronavirus.

Would they allow infected people recover? I know it's your immune system's job to let you get out of such a messy situation but if drugs can help you here...

A Singapore Coronavirus research indicates that patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus that causes the Covid-19 disease, extensively contaminate their bedrooms and bathrooms, reflecting the need for frequent disinfecting and cleaning of such areas.
The Singapore research just published yesterday in JAMA (Journal Of The American Medical Association) said that the virus was killed by twice-a-day cleaning of surfaces and daily cleaning of floors with a commonly used disinfectant, which suggests that current decontamination measures are sufficient as long as people adhere to them.
