Simply Following the Rule of Introduction - RinDes - 12-07-2023

Rin here to introduce myself as requested!

An avid user of RPG Maker XP, and a veteran indie game developer. I build every single aspect of my games from scratch, with the exception of a few custom scripts. But all other assets are original and created by me, including music and animations.

Here's my current day job: Shadow Halls, a horror mystery RPG set to be completed by the end of next year, with over 2.5 hours worth of gameplay. And I'm also working on a Resident Evil Survivor RPG, as a side project.

Have a look if you're curious,

Kindly,
Rin.

*HOWUUUU* (Tramslation from Lycan: Greetings.)

A horror game that's actually horror/mystery and not a survival type? Impressive. So often there are just jump-scare type games being made. And you composed the music too? Nice.

RinDeez Nuts over your chin!

Now that my squealing infantile urge to retread a bad joke has been satisfied, I warmly welcome you to Save-point. A land dominated by lycanthropes, goth girls, space goddesses, clowns, huge hardware nerds, huge pixel art nerds, mapping mandies who still use XP because dat map system so swole, insect people from bizarre night-time cartoon network shows, cthulu's mum and also whatever the upright heck I'm supposed to be. (oh wait space goddess checks out)

I am sure as the chesticles i barely have that you will find this haven of dogmatic dopiness a right treat and i recommend the What's up rm'ers thread for all of the wrong reasons!

See your regular casual gamedev would go in there to post updates about their game, but while you definitely should do that, it is also a trainwreck of comedy gold. Between my bizarrely disjointed posts where I make myself look like I fit better in the clown box than the space goddess one, dervvulfman being a scary man purely due to his sheer ability to work through mountainously monotonous tasks, kyonides posting basically anything and the small but sorta cute squabbles between people that are basically a debate without hate (though it can be hard to tell sometimes).

No, the real reason to go there is for entertainment! But also to post about your game and scope up other people's projects. I myself am about to make a post there and i would be cheesed if you would follow suit assuming you make games.

Whether you do or not though, welcome to the FUNNY forum where everything is normal i swear!

Yep! Every aspect for the game is original, except a few scripts I borrow from here and there. It's an ambitious project, but I'm confident I can see it to completion! ^_^

My many thanks for the odd but warm welcome! ^_^

What's so "mysterious" about your game in development? Thinking
What else can you tell us about it?

You can click on the image I posted or here to access the itch.OI page for more info and screenshots. But here's the first chunk of details for the game:

"Follow Thomas Nearford, a senior detective investigating possible art thievery at Banestone Manor. At the request of the owner, he must find the culprit behind mysterious disappearances. Not all is as expected however, for he soon finds himself amidst something much darker."
