Assange currently remains in the United Kingdom and was indicted by U.S. prosecutors on 17 espionage charges and one charge of computer misuse related to the 2010 WikiLeaks’ publication of leaked military and diplomatic documents in Afghanistan and Iraq.
During his hearing on Monday, British District Judge Vanessa Baraitser rejected the U.S. extradition request out of concerns Assange might commit suicide.
The United States responded Monday they are planning to appeal Baraitser’s decision to reject their request.

Epoch Times Wrote:A federal judge on Monday suggested sanctioning a lawyer who represented a group seeking to block Congress from counting electoral college votes on Jan. 6.
U.S. District Court Judge James E. Boasberg issued the opinion in response to a lawsuit brought by the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society, which argued that state legislatures of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia, and Arizona were prevented from exercising their power under the U.S. Constitution to certify the presidential electors’ votes cast on Dec. 14.
The group claims that a number of federal and state laws had unconstitutionally delegated the authority of state legislatures to certify these votes to state executive branches. It asked the court to invalidate and declare those laws unconstitutional and prevent Vice President Mike Pence, who will be counting the Electoral College votes, and Congress from counting votes from the contested states until their state legislatures are able to meet to certify the votes.

Epoch Times Wrote:The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) announced late Monday that it is scrapping its plan to delist three Chinese telecom companies with ties to the Chinese military.
It marks an abrupt reversal after NYSE said on Dec. 31 that it was in the process of delisting the three state-owned companies—China Mobile Ltd., China Telecom Corporation Ltd., and China Unicom (Hong Kong) Ltd., in compliance with President Donald Trump’s executive order (E.O.) 13959.

Police also recovered "numerous Molotov cocktails," Philadelphia police Chief Inspector Mike Cram said in the aftermath, according to local media.

Fox News Wrote:Reflecting a nationwide trend, Republicans in the state sought to invalidate ballots that omitted a handwritten date. Brewster's Republican challenger Nicole Ziccarelli lost by 69 votes in state-certified results. Zicarelli has argued that without 311 contested mail-in ballots, she would win by 24 votes.
The state Supreme Court, in a 4-3 decision, ruled in November that it would not apply a handwritten date requirement in the just-finished election, and said the lack of a handwritten date is not a compelling enough reason to throw out the ballot of an eligible voter. In doing so, it dismissed Ziccarelli’s arguments.
Republicans currently hold a majority in the chamber, with 28 seats out of 50.

He organized a protest with Black Lives Matter activists and members of the far-left Antifa network. According to the Deseret News, Sullivan damaged vehicles and urged people to block roadways. Video footage captured him threatening to beat a woman.
Photographs showed Sullivan inside the Capitol in Washington on Jan. 6. Sullivan has since given interviews claiming he took part in the illegal breach of the building as part of an effort to understand supporters of President Donald Trump.
Sullivan said he was detained on Thursday night and questioned about what he saw during the storming of the Capitol. The Metropolitan Police Department didn’t respond to a request for comment.

An order on “unjustified” foreign legislation published on the Ministry’s website instructs Chinese entities to report within 30 days if they are affected by foreign laws that “improperly prohibit or restrict” Chinese citizens, companies, and organizations from conducting “normal economic, trade, and related activities with a third state or its citizens.”
The Ministry will then determine whether the legislation affects China’s “national sovereignty, security, and development interests.” If the foreign law is judged to be “unjustified,” China’s State Council can issue an injunction against “recognition, enforcement, and compliance” with the foreign laws.
In addition, Chinese individuals and entities that suffer “significant losses” for noncompliance with foreign laws are entitled to receive “necessary support” from Chinese authorities, according to the order.
The order also states that Beijing may “take necessary counter-measures” in response to such foreign laws.

The company issued a statement saying it was removing content containing the phrase that was used by supporters of President Donald Trump to question the integrity of the 2020 general election. Trump supporters held multiple rallies across the country called “Stop the Steal” following the Nov. 3 election.
The social media company said that the move is an attempt to remove content that “could incite further violence during these next few weeks.” Content will be removed under the company’s Coordinating Harm policy.

The system includes an antenna and bomb, night vision multifunctional glasses, and a digital control terminal that can be worn on the arm.

The Australian government has also called the ban on Trump an act of “censorship.”
Mexican President Manuel López Obrador also echoed his global counterparts, with Reuters reporting that he said it was a bad sign when private companies try to censor opinion.

The goal of this campaign, dubbed “United Front work” by the Party, is to “make Americans receptive to Beijing’s form of authoritarianism,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a speech last October.
By targeting foreign news outlets, the regime hopes to limit negative media coverage of Beijing, while boosting favorable coverage, Grant Newsham, a senior fellow at Washington-based think tank Center for Security Policy, said in an email.
Its target for 2010 was to place an average of three articles a week in various publications containing statements in support of China. In 2009, the firm “assisted or directly influenced” the publication of 26 opinion articles and quotes within 103 articles, the filing stated.

The leaked documents come from the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Liuzhou city, Guangxi Province. In September 2017, Liu Chuanlin, deputy director of the Liuzhou branch of the CCP’s rubber-stamp legislature, led a five-member delegation to Russia and Greece. During the trip, the delegation received a “warm reception and service” from Chinese state-owned enterprises and local Chinese chambers of commerce, the documents stated.

The leaders of the pro-CCP Chinese expat organizations in foreign countries have been rewarded for their services and contribution to the Chinese regime by being recommended to be VIP guests for the Liuzhou Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference committee meeting. The committee is a high-level political advisory body and a central part of the CCP’s United Front Work Department.
In the CCP’s recommendation form, then-chairman of the Guangxi General Chamber of Commerce in Thailand pledged his loyalty to the Party.
