MSC Grandiosa: First Mediterranean cruise launches after five-month pause
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-53802045
BBC Wrote:The MSC Grandiosa will stop at three Italian ports and the Maltese capital Valletta in a seven-day voyage.
Operator MSC Cruises, say all passengers and crew have been tested for coronavirus before boarding.
It comes as virus cases continue to rise around Italy, with more than 600 reported by authorities yesterday.

It does sound dangerous indeed, especially because we're talking about places that include rooms that aren't as spacious as they might be during a pandemic. And we all already know what happened to several cruisers at the beginning of this dark chapter of our history. [Image: sad.gif]

Belarus: Mass protest eclipses defiant Belarus leader's rally
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-53795871
Even after Lukashenko asked Putin to back him in his claim to stay in power in Belarus, his fellow countrymen and women strongly disagree with his handling of the crisis. Thousands of protesters filled up Minsk so to say to make him release the people that still are in prison who were arrested for complaining against their government. Meanwhile Lukashenko called them rats. Mouse He also pretended to gather his supporters to defend their country and its independence.

Congress Speaker Nancy Pelosi is considering recalling Congress early to discuss the changes and their impacts. They didn't mention any concern for voting fraud except for the incumbent president. He managed to blame Dems for not reaching a deal on USPS funding.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-53794831

A video, which was widely shared on social media, showed two boys pushing the woman into the canal.
RTÉ said Xuedan Xiong, who lives in Castleknock, pulled herself out of the water and was helped by onlookers.
She had challenged a group of young people about racial discrimination, RTÉ said. She was not injured.

Well, yes, racism or this time sinophobia is on the rise for sure. Confused

It is only the third Israeli-Arab peace treaty in the Middle East.
The international community has mostly welcomed the move, although Palestinians, Iran and Turkey have denounced it.

Libya Egypt and General Haftar
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53779425
BBC Wrote:Libya has no properly functioning state institutions, no unified army or security forces to speak of, and, crucially, no border guards on its side of their porous 1,100km (685-mile) long desert border. Plus the country is awash with weapons.
The fire began to spill over when Libyans failed to agree on a path forward, militias of all kinds proliferated, jihadists resurfaced to pursue their dream of creating an Islamic state in Libya and beyond.

Call them jihadists, IS or whatever you wanna, they never bring anything good along. Angry
What I wonder here is why did several countries get involved in a fight without letting Libya get a chance to rebuild itself?
Is it France's or Russia's or Egypt's or Turkey's or the Muslim Brotherhood's fault? Confused

BBC Wrote:In June 2014, smugglers killed six Egyptian border guards
In 2017, a group of jihadists crossed into Egyptian territory and attacked a security checkpoint, killing 16 soldiers and wounding 13 others
Inside Libya itself, Egyptian labourers were targeted. In 2015 militants from the Islamic State group kidnapped and beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians, apparently in retaliation for the removal from power of President Morsi

Now even average Egyptians, no matter if they're Muslims or Christians, are getting involved in this messy situation.

Isreal UAE the Gulf States Iran and... Saddam Hussein?
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-53805828
We already learned about Israel and UAE signing a declaration where they establish official communications and Israel forgets about the annexation of Palestine territories. Did you know the Emirates were founded in 1971? Confused I didn't know that.

BBC considers Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and Morocco might follow suit and start negotiating with Israel in the near future or so. Why would so many Arab states become possible allies of Israel? There seems to be a single answer to this question: Iran.

Since Saddam Hussein's fall Iran has been spreading its militant reach across the Middle East and possibly even beyond. There's also the Muslim Brotherhood and its political Islam threatening the dynastic monarchies in the Gulf states.

Did you know the Emirates is the first Arab country to send a mission to Mars? Shocked

USPS: Conspiracy or Reorganization?
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53809955
Depending on who you're asking this question, people might think either Trump's ally is causing delays on purpose or the demand on services and blue public mail boxes has declined creating a large hole in the USPS budget that's not funded by taxpayers directly.

People showed concerned over USPS removing or relocating those public mail boxes. Some even claimed it was a treachery.
Let's compare Obama's and Trump's administrations then.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/postal-service-flashback-obama-admin-removed-thousands-of-mailboxes
So even if some people complained about those 12,000 removals, they just said they were trying to make USPS remain a valid option for the average American. Why are 600+ relocations or removals an issue now? Confused

Plus why do they care that much? They're public after all! If they were moving your very OWN MAILBOX it would be understandable up to some point. Hey! They're not touching them at all! Grinning So why is it a controversy for leftists? Besides you are NOT supposed to get your ballot in a public mail at all. Who Knows? Who would even register it as their legal address? Your cat? Cat Your dog? Dog Your neighbor Smiley? Happy The bear Bear searching for food in your trash cans?

Former CIA officers charged with spying for China

divulging classified national defense information to Chinese intelligence officials.
They've shared information about the CIA's personnel, operations, and methods of concealing communications. Ma was caught on tape counting his $50,000 payment. DOJ will not prosecuted his accomplice for he's been suffering a severe cognitive disease for quite some time.

China defends detention of Uighur model in Xinjiang
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-53809345
BBC Wrote:According to article 37 of the Prison Law of the People's Republic of China, the people's government shall help released prisoners to resettle," it says.
"During the transfer, Merdan Ghappar committed acts of self-harm and excessive acts against the police."
It continues: "They took legal measures to stop him, and lifted those measures once his mood had stabilised.
The BBC has been shown evidence that the authorities were saying instead that "he may need to do a few days of education at his local community".
Sarcasm Any of us could end up doing anything considered "weird" by those Chinese officers if we spent days or months in a cell for committing non-existent crimes. So working as a model now is a dangerous crime in China, especially if you're Uighur? Angry How did he become a threat for Foshan city where he'd been working? Serious If they ever wanted to educate him why didn't they send him to some college instead?

Just in case you didn't know, China has been trying to control births of new generations of Uighurs for quite some time.

Trump dangles cash for US firms moving from China
https://www.bbc.com/news/business-53816277
BBC Wrote:US President Donald Trump wants to offer tax credits to entice US firms to move factories out of China.
He has also threatened to strip government contracts from firms that continue to outsource work to China.

Before somebody starts criticizing his move here, let's keep in mind Japan already did something like that when they offered $1 billion to relocate Japanese firms out of Chinese soil.

Let us also recall how many times Chinese companies has been accused of enslaving their workers. Ask Apple or Nike about that! Some of the workers fell ill and didn't get proper medical attention but got fired instead.

Bill Morneau: Canada finance minister quits amid charity probe

Morneau claims he was not dismissed by the Canadian Prime Minister and took this decision on his own after considering its impact carefully. He will put in a bid to be the next secretary general for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
So is it a real resignation? Or was it just another political move? Thinking
By the way, Costa Rica was invited to become a member of the OECD. Costa Rican Congress still has to approve it to make it official. Confused

Cuomo calls coronavirus the ‘European virus’ in Trump-bashing DNC speech
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/andrew-cuomo-joe-biden-democratic-convention
New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo Wrote:And our current federal government is dysfunctional and incompetent. It couldn't fight off the virus. In fact, it didn't even see it coming. The European virus infected the northeast while the White House was still fixated on China.

Even if some people might think Trump is a fool or should not be the president, how can Cuomo suddenly forget it is the Wuhan virus not the European virus? Huh?
I do not recall Europeans spreading the coronavirus in countries like Costa Rica or South Africa before China did in places like Japan, US, Italy, Malaysia among many others.
So the Federal Government is dysfunctional. What about all the nursing homes he forced to take in covidose people? Sarcasm How is he going to explain his decision was valid after many old people has passed away because of the spread of the virus in such places?
It was not Trump's nor New York Mayor De Blasio's but Cuomo's decision what caused such a health disaster! It affected the whole state he claimed he was protecting from the virus. Who will give them those two months or so back to the victims? Angry And the lives lost because of him? He cannot criticize other people when his own decision making skills suck.

Fox News Wrote:The Cuomo administration has refused to release the number, leading some to speculate the state is intentionally manipulating the figures.
So how exactly did Cuomo do a better job protecting New York State citizens? Sarcasm He does not even want people to know how many are deceased including both those that passed away in the nursing homes and those that went back to the hospital.

Trump approved the request of deploying a naval hospital ship in New York City. At the end is was underused but we could say it was better to exaggerate a little bit than not having enough beds for patients. The incumbent president also sent ventilators to New York and Cuomo only complained about the number of machines they would be receiving. Still, they later realized they did not need as many beds and ventilators as they initially claimed.

It seems modern history would disapprove of Cuomo's remarks. Serious

US stocks hit new high after coronavirus crash

Another Open Editorial

People might rejoice to hear that the US and Japanese markets are on the rise again. If you read the article you'll notice that they now have to praise the economic measures taken by those authorities to keep their economies afloat. You might not like them, you can criticize them, but one thing is sure. Neither Trump nor Abe are the monstrosities or the inept or unreliable leaders some groups pretended us to believe. With help from different institutions they managed to deal with several issues caused by the pandemic. In US cases have exploded indeed, but there will be an economy after they start declining. In Japan they might not solve the stagnation they were facing before this virus season, still, they will be able to keep it running.

If you don't understand how important that is to people, take a look at underdeveloped countries. Costa Rica is in the midst of a severe fiscal crisis aggravated by the government's overcontrol of the economy. They tell people they can now open their restaurants but set rules to prevent people from driving their cars more than twice a week. How the hell is a restaurant owner supposed to survive this crisis and pay the rent and the wages and the taxes if nobody arrives asking for their menu?

Even if a party or a think tank comes up with tons of complaints, now they can't tell you Trump's administration didn't make an effort to revitalize their economy and stay as strong as the virus allows it. People wanted to cry out loud he had failed miserably, but numbers tells us otherwise. Americans didn't lose as many jobs as anyone had predicted, the stocks are back. Of course, now it's a good time to take some extra measures to ensure this will last long enough to begin 2021 with a different attitude, a more mature one.

Stuff like fighting crime, facing foreign governments that haven't been helpful at all or needed a push into the right direction was necessary as well. Or would you love the idea of getting your songs or your games or your scripts or your real life projects not related to gaming be stolen by some Chinese or North Korean or Russian or Iranian hacker? That's why I don't understand why some people around the globe, including fellow Costa Ricans, keep criticizing Trump for facing those threats and even telling China that their underground schemes to get access to technologies that don't belong to them nor have paid for them for commercial use are bad at all.

When they claim this is all about money they're right. Developers, musicians, writers, service providers and many more do deserve to get paid for their works. Now Chinese programmers and engineers will have to come up with original ideas instead of stealing them from foreign companies. What are they so afraid of? Are they admitting their technicians can't take on the challenge? Forcing them to play under the same conditions as the rest of the world is fair and might bring some peace or stability to a specific area of the global economy.

Once again I'm telling you all here that we need to crush selfishness here and now. It just happens that the right way, to make it last longer than any other method previously accepted, is to let states that don't care about stealing intellectual property or money realize right away that they will have to comply with the rules or face the legal and political consequences of their egotistical attitude. If peoples like the Chinese serving the CCP were decent, they would remove any suspicious code or hardware pieces from their infrastructure and products and services. They would even sign an agreement even if they'd never admit they committed lots of crimes in the past. Otherwise they'd prove they only care about economic gains obtained any way possible, including those that harm Americans or Europeans or Latin Americans or Africans or Asians in the process.

Don't call them divisive policies, name them as a serious request to make things right, where every party involved shares practically an equal share of responsibility and investment. Even so I wanna remind you that Trump wasn't asking for something laughable when he demanded the European Union to share more costs of the NATO military forces than they've done so far. The first countries called to defend their own sovereignty are those partaking in the European Union and the United Kingdom. America as a continent is not at risk of being invaded by the Russians, Europe is. First it was Ukraine and Crimea, now it's Belarus where President Lukashenko asked Putin to help him stay in power.

Both politicians are tyrants just as much as Xi Jinping is. Or do you still think they care about free press? So next time any of you want to make us believe communism disguised as socialism is the way to go, come and tells us how that can ever be true if communist countries like China and Russia, that hasn't really stayed away from it in reality, abuse of their own peoples. When they reach another leader they're not just after commerce and cultural exchange, they want to impose their leftist policies in their countries. They support those that comply with their extreme tactics, including beatings that might later kill the detainees. Do you call that freedom? How's that liberal?

No matter if you want to be left or right leaned or a moderate, please keep in mind that you can easily end up restricting other people's rights to the bare minimum of breathing air. China did, Russia did as well and now even Belarus is one of their apprentices. If you didn't support fascists like Musollini or the Nazis, then don't support policies that resemble those found in Chinese or Russian laws and procedures. Or gladly join the Uighurs in the "re-education" camps and let us know how it crushed your life.

He cited the British demand for wide-ranging access for UK lorries travelling across Europe but the refusal to agree to EU rules on, for example, drivers' rest times.
Meanwhile David Frost dislikes how the European Union insist on forcing UK to apply EU rules on state aid and fisheries. He even claims France and Germany don't abide by their rules but UK always did.

Flashback: NY City Council approves slashing $1B from NYPD budget (July 2020)
https://www.foxnews.com/us/ny-city-council-approves-rejects-slashing-1b-from-nypd-budget
Fox News Wrote:New York City lawmakers voted Tuesday on budget changes that shifted $1 billion from the New York Police Department to programs that assist in youth and community development, a number that fell short of what many protesters in the city have demanded.
The City Council said in a statement that the city's 2021 budget will include $837 million in cuts and transfers to the New York Police Department (NYPD) expense budget, which removes $1 billion from the NYPD’s spending when combined with associated costs.
The amount is far less than what some protesters demanded. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said earlier that $1.5 billion in cuts would not be enough.
I'm not against helping the youth, rehabilitate it when necessary, but these budget cuts are stupid. Can't they see people need police Police more than ever? After months of isolation, people do get violent. It happened in Argentina, Costa Rica, Australia and even the USA. Who did ever protect the CHOP's people when the mayor kick the police out of the zone? Nobody did, they kept committing violent crimes. Chess Olympiad: India and Russia both get gold after controversial final
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-53965748
First there were the "controversial" DeepBlue and DeepBlue Jr. Now it's the very same... internet connection!? Huh? At least that was the basis of India's request after several countries lost their connection and players like two Indians (and some Armenian) were unable to make their moves in time.

BBC Wrote:Armenia on Friday said one of its players was disconnected from the server during its quarterfinal match against India, and lost on time. Its appeal was rejected and the country withdrew from the competition in protest.

Thinking Well, you still can partake in the 44th Chess Olympiad to be held in Russia next year. Tongue sticking out

Portland Chaos: Biden blames Trump and US President blames Mayor Wheeler
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-53962363
Business as usual, Biden and Wheeler blame Trump for being a cause for division among people.

US President Donald Trump Wrote:The people of Portland, like all other cities & parts of our great Country, want Law & Order. The Radical Left Democrat Mayors, like the dummy running Portland, or the guy right now in his basement unwilling to lead or even speak out against crime, will never be able to do it!

That "guy in his basement" or bunker is nobody else but Biden himself. Laughing
Happy with a sweat Where did the US President get that? Well, there was a time when Biden simply broadcasted his speeches from his basement in order to stay away from the virus.  Virus It reminds me of Daniel Ortega and Kim Jong Un. Thinking They did disappear for days as well. Actually the latter hasn't been seen in public for months. Indifferent

Progressive Protesters demand Mayor Wheeler's resignation
https://www.opb.org/article/2020/08/30/after-shooting-near-protests-portland-mayor-ted-wheeler-faces-calls-to-resign/
Activists adduced they grew tired of his hands-off leadership. They also think law enforcement is pretty much non existing in Portland and they can't trust the police to keep them safe. Confused Could it be because of their attempts to get rid of the police forces? Sarcasm They also mentioned some videoclips but there's no actual prove they can link them to any specific group but mere speculations. Confused

Police Cop shot down by gunman in Saint Louis

Who said protesters or criminals where the only victims of violence? Serious The Bohannons might tell you a whole different story after losing Tamarris while he and another cop were trying to solve a conflict where a gunman expelled a family from their house and shot the cops at Bohannon's head and the unnamed officer's leg.
So far 8 officers have been shot in the city. Sad You don't see people protesting against spikes in crime while the real and the pseudo BLM movements do get all the media's attention. It doesn't seem to be fair for cops and their families and the average citizens. Angry

In Xinjiang province, China, forced medication accompanies lockdown

AP News Wrote:When police arrested the middle-aged Uighur woman at the height of China’s coronavirus outbreak, she was crammed into a cell with dozens of other women in a detention center.
There, she said, she was forced to drink a medicine that made her feel weak and nauseous, guards watching as she gulped. She and the others also had to strip naked once a week and cover their faces as guards hosed them and their cells down with disinfectant “like firemen,” she said.
Sarcasm Remind me why should we ever think China cares about ethnic groups. They treat so called infected people like criminals! Killer Even if there's no actual proof of them having committed any crime or had contracted any virus at all. Confused

Matthew Kay (to fellow Teachers on Twitter) Wrote:So, this fall, virtual class discussion will have many potential spectators — parents, siblings, etc. — in the same room. We’ll never be quite sure who is overhearing the discourse. What does this do for our equity/inclusion work? How much have students depended on the (somewhat) secure barriers of our physical classrooms to encourage vulnerability? How many of us have installed some version of ‘what happens here stays here’ to help this?
Equity/inclusion work? Just what is that? Please define something other than indoctrination. Encourage vulnerability? What happens here stays here?
And you can find copies of his tweets. So if anyone has children, this could make you really concerned what they are being taught.

RE: News of the World - kyonides - 09-01-2020

Serious That pretty much sounds like Costa Rican PAC's plans for indoctrination. They wanted to practically force kids to become gay or similar and treat being heterosexual as archaic. Huh? How's that inclusive at all!? It's exclusive by nature by expelling Christian believes and other similar faiths out of their classrooms. They're even considering using Cuban books with clear communist propaganda as the basic books schoolers should read. Why didn't they just teach something moderate or let students of all ages get factual information on both political wings? Based on what they can grasp at their current age and development of course. Confused

Hong Kong alias Annexed Province of China is Testing People or Collecting Samples?

Yeah, I know what some of you might think, it's got some sharkish spice for sure. Happy with a sweat You'd be right but it's not my fault. That's exactly the main concern here! Now that the Covid-19 is the perfect excuse to mass test Hong Kongers, people started worrying about the Chinese government collecting DNA samples for unknown purposes. OF course, the CCP denied this and promised to destroy the samples after they analyzed them. Serious That doesn't mean there aren't other ways to keep data intact.

AP News Wrote:Hong Kong’s worst outbreak in early July was blamed in part on an exemption from quarantine requirements for airline staff, truck drivers from mainland China and sailors on cargo ships.

So instead of preventing those foreigners or travelers from infecting other people, they still let HK contract it while they try to test most of its population!? Confused

Tongue sticking out Nope, I'm not making this up. That exactly what some poll workers have confessed as of late. Shocked

AP News Wrote:Even before the Aug. 9 presidential election in Belarus ended, a poll worker in Minsk said she was asked to sign a document summing up its result, with the vote totals left blank.
Another worker who pointed out violations during the vote-counting was fired on the spot.
In the small city of Vitebsk, a poll worker signed a document with falsified results in favor of President Alexander Lukashenko and later was wracked with guilt for betraying the trust of the voters.
The opposition was prepared for such an outcome — allegations of rigged elections have surfaced in every vote in Belarus since Lukashenko took power in 1994. This time, it trained people to be independent monitors at polling stations, it encouraged poll workers to report violations, and it set up a website where voters could submit photos of their marked ballots to compare with the official count.

Well, you don't get prepared to take photos and overwatch voters if there wasn't a powerful reason to get organized in order to face a... tyrant.

Iran's enriched uranium stockpile
10 times limit
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-54033441
BBC Wrote:Iran now has more than 10 times the amount of enriched uranium permitted under an international agreement, the UN's nuclear watchdog says.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said Iran's enriched uranium stockpile had reached 2,105kg (4,640lb) - well above the 300kg agreed in 2015.
Iran insists its nuclear programme is exclusively for peaceful purposes.
It comes after Iran gave IAEA inspectors access to one of two suspected former nuclear sites.
The agency said it would take samples at the second site later this month.

Sarcasm Oh but weren't Iranians saying they didn't enrich more uranium that they were allowed by the UN resolution? Didn't the UN deny US request to enforce a new embargo on Iran? Serious Now how exactly are they supposed to fix this? By patting the Ayatollah's Iran on the shoulder?
Keep in mind they still ignore how much uranium they're hiding in the second nuclear site and if there's more hidden somewhere else. Angry

Russian vaccine shows signs of immune response
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-54036221
BBC Wrote:The report published by medical journal The Lancet said every participant developed antibodies to fight the virus and had no serious side effects.
Russia licensed the vaccine for local use in August, the first country to do so and before data had been published.
Experts say the trials were too small to prove effectiveness and safety.
Two trials of the vaccine, named Sputnik-V, were conducted between June and July, The Lancet paper said. Each involved 38 healthy volunteers who were given a dose of the vaccine and then a booster vaccine three weeks later.
The participants - aged between 18 and 60 - were monitored for 42 days and all of them developed antibodies within three weeks. Among the most common side effects were headaches and joint pain.
The trials were open label and not randomised, meaning there was no placebo and the volunteers were aware they were receiving the vaccine.

What some experts Mad Scientist have criticized here is that they do need patients taking a placebo to make sure there are no coincidence or natural recovery or normal immune system response there.

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said members were united in condemning the "horrific" attack.
He added there was "proof beyond doubt" that a Novichok nerve agent was used against Mr Navalny.
But Russia has dismissed the diagnosis given by doctors in Germany, where he is being treated.
Speaking after an emergency Nato meeting, Mr Stoltenberg said the Kremlin "must fully co-operate with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on an impartial international investigation".
Serious Of course, Russia didn't agree with the outcome of their investigation.

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53807187
BBC Wrote:About 9,000 people have been arrested in Ethiopia in the deadly clashes which followed the killing of singer Hachalu Hundessa in June, human rights activists say, leading to concerns that there could be a return to the authoritarian rule that the prime minister had promised to end when he took office in 2018.
"We will never back down for anyone who is intending to suppress our hard-won right to self-determination and self-rule," the region's leader, Debretsion Gebremichael, said last month.
His statement came a few days after regional security forces - armed with AK-47 rifles and RPG rocket launchers - marched in major cities in Tigray, in a display of military might that intensified worries about armed confrontation.
Responding to a call by the upper house of the federal government to meet on Saturday to discuss Tigray's election, the regional government warned that any decision to stop or disrupt the regional election is "tantamount to declaration of war".
Perhaps they granted him the prize too soon. Sad Peace is hard to achieve indeed, especially with Ethiopia's violent Killer and authoritarian past...

Costa Rican Presidency Hesistates after UPAD Chief Designer's Appointment as Legal Advisor - in Spanish

The Office of the Costa Rican Chancellor appointed him as a worker of the Legal Department of that public institution.
What makes it totally unbelievable Incredible is that he's the very same guy that was leading the UPAD or the Costa Rican Gestapo office as we people nicknamed it.  How can such a corrupt official become a legal advisor!? Confused He was the one spying on all Costa Ricans! Angry Really, they've even created a database via Taboola including names, phone numbers and much more without even asking people for its permission to obtain it! Ticked off
His very same appointment is illegal from the very beginning! He's been investigated by the OIJ (think about some sort of FBI here) so he's ineligible for a job at the chancellery! Sarcasm PAC has definitely demonstrated that they're as corrupt as those parties they criticized when they were the opposition. Even the very same news article mentions this fact.

BBC Wrote:Firms added 1.4 million new jobs and unemployment fell below 10% for the first time since the pandemic began.
It is the fourth month in a row that America's jobs picture has improved, as the economy begins to rebound from the depths of the coronavirus recession.
The opposition still criticizes US President Donald Trump but look at the figures! US is not condemned to failure as they often claim, it's strong enough to survive this perilous times, there's hope after all! Obviously, it's not an easy task to accomplish but they will endure it. Jobs as a important factor in the economy are recovering as well. There's nothing wrong about working again, even if people need to apply to a totally different job, still, we gotta be patient. Things might have changed but people all need to adapt to this situation no matter where they live.

Stars and Stripes: Trump says famed military newspaper will not close
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-54035109
BBC Wrote:US President Donald Trump has said his administration will not be shutting down a renowned military newspaper, following outcry from lawmakers.
Stars and Stripes, an independent military newspaper had been expected to end this month after the Pentagon decided in February to cut its funding.
The US government "will NOT be cutting funding to @starsandstripes magazine under my watch," Mr Trump tweeted.
Mr Trump tweeted on Friday afternoon: "It will continue to be a wonderful source of information to our Great Military!"

Well, it's weird they'd even dare to close such a historical newspaper out of the blue, but let's keep in mind some officials at the Pentagon are against Trump so it's not unusual for them to take decisions against common sense. It seems the newspaper's become part of the soldiers' identity already. It's better to keep it going. Plus the Pentagon has a $700 billion budget so why not? Who Knows?
Anyway, they're just waiting for the Senate to approve their funds for the Congress already took care of the first part of this process.

Lionel Messi: Barcelona legend to stay at club

BBC Sport Wrote:One notable takeaway from his interview was his brutal assessment of club president Josep Maria Bartomeu, as he lamented: "There has been no project or anything for a long time, they juggle and cover holes as they go along."
Bartomeu's tenure as president finishes in March but he will now come under heavy pressure to resign immediately, and it's hard to see how he and Messi can coexist in the same club after such a vicious character assassination.
Well, even Barcelona is allowed to experience a crisis every so often, right? Happy with a sweat

The Gulf Livestock 1 was carrying 6,000 cows and 43 crew members when it went missing on Wednesday after being caught up in Typhoon Maysak.
Japanese officials said a 30-year-old Philippine national became the ship's second known survivor when he was found drifting on a life raft on Friday.
Another man was found in the water hours earlier but pronounced dead.
The vessel's chief officer, Eduardo Sareno, was rescued on Wednesday evening.
The crew of the freighter included 39 people from the Philippines, two from New Zealand and two from Australia.
Typhoon Maysak is definitely a killer Killer storm indeed. Sad

Haishen has led to the closure of factories, schools and businesses across western Japan. Hundreds of flights and train services were also cancelled.

The prime minister will tell EU counterparts that completing the UK's exit from the bloc without a trade deal would still be a "good outcome".
