Kiwi & Mango Versions

Introduction

This script lets you simulate the player is living on an alien or fantasy world where time isn't measured like we do here on Earth. You define how long a minute or an hour or a day last, etc. It will recreate natural effects like dawn, dusk and nighttime for you.

You may also see a small sun or moon in the upper left corner of the screen telling you if it's day or nighttime already by pressing L or R buttons. Press any of them once again to dispose them.

It's almost completely finished, but it's always been completely functional. You may post your suggestions as well at any time.

Mango version is available now! It includes Lighting Effects! For now it would only include one single kind of effect per map like just lamps or just bonefires per map.

Sidenotes

There was a need for a warning in a previous version of my script, but that's not the case anymore, it should be compatible with custom Scene_Title and Scene_Load scripts now.

Nope, no Bump title this time. I'm just here to let you know I updated my FakeTime script to fix the dusk and nighttime screen tone effects, now they're working properly. Please keep in mind your suggestions are welcome here.

BUMPING often is not my goal, it just happens sometimes...

Well, I still found some weird bug that didn't update the screen tone so you could not see any dusk or night time effect, but now it's fixed. I also added another featurette that will show the player a small sun or moon on screen depending on the time of the day. Press L or R button to display or dispose the image.

I really wish I had had this script years ago. I tried doing day/night as a parallel process event. It didn't end well.

Mango version is available now! It includes Lighting Effects! Forget about leaving comments on events to show a lamp lighting effect, only configure 2 Constants properly and the script will take care of the rest on your lazy behalf. For now it would only include one single kind of effect per map like just lamps or just bonefires per map.
