Heroes attacking with no weapons. You could essentially add a little patch to give them a little 'Hit' damage.... Game_Actor's base_atk to add some points if no weapon present, and Game_Actor's animation2_id to add something like animation #4(HIT) if a no-weapon hit was made. I added this capability with Multi-Slots if you were curious enough to use it.

I'm getting to that curiosity. I might take a look-see. with that script.

A mini Devlog meaning nothing much has changed, except the Title Screen a bit, an icon, the Cursor, a little bit, and the Tutorial for Challenge Mode, which I think I forgot if I already covered that or not.

I certainly am a beginner in mapping towns and cities, but for the starting city, which you'll spend a good amount of time in the game in, be splitting the place in sections (Multiple maps). I did notice that the text window would overlap the bottom of the screen, if the character is located there, so I may add more tiles on the bottom. And maybe add a car or two. Who knows.

I was actually talking about the dialog box. Thinking But I think I'll wait and see if there's a script that would automatically resize the default dialogue box, which was one of the reasons why I chose UMS at one point prior to starting over for the Lycan ABS.

I kinda prefer the Multiple Message Windows script by Wachunga, though it may not have the portraits features that ccoa added. Easy enough to tweak.

I got 3 abilities ready again. These are Fireball, Vatrena Lopta, and Second Wind. Currently, I'm testing one out, but I have to make a "Fireball" projectile in the Characters thing, since Fireball is more like a glimering light for a projectile, it should be easy to make. As for Second Wind, it's not just going to be Akiko's only passive, it'll also be Emil's. The switch to turn on, as soon as one of the two characters have this Ability, is ready. However, I still have to make the event.

That said, I'm going to be testing different Events. And since I haven't made the start to Emil's side of the story, Selecting her in the title screen will still put me in the Debug Room, which I can then grab Akiko from there, as she's the set companion that is usually in the Debug Room when I select Emil. Testing and configuring is going to be a mad dash of trial and error, though on the week of Christmas, I'll probably not work on anything and relax a bit, with the project and other projects still in my mind. Also, I'm using the Non-Steam version of RPG Maker XP this time around, as I decided to support the developers by getting RPG Maker XP on sale. That and I didn't want to run Steam in the background to run multiple instances of the RPG Maker. Go figure.

And just because I can, I decided to go with the sprites I have, instead of making new ones. First of all. I couldn't find the right ponytail, so I decided to scrap that idea and always have Akiko's hair just like it is right now. Though she doesn't get the labcoat look till her 17th birthday. Just because.

Also, I think I have enough enthusiasm. I might actually attempt to draw my characters. Though getting a scanner's going to be expensive, so I might not be able to scan, then color. But hey, at least I get to draw again, like I wanted to years ago.

Hello~!  Blushing + Cheery It's been a while.

Oh wow... How long has it been...? O.o PSO2NGS really took the slot. Shocked Anyway, Here area  few updates to what I have planned, starting with the Title Screen.  Nervous I'm a little nervous. Eheh.... Happy with a sweat Things changed a bit here, but for now, I'll do my best to present what small changes are coming for now. There's more.

Let's start with the Extras Menu on the Title Screen First.

There is an additional option called Database. This is currently in Development, and would be more reading into the setting of the game, and some lore about some things, such as big family names, locales, characters, etc.

Challenge Mode is gonna be renamed to Mission Mode later.

Survival Mode is probably getting the boot.

Now for another thing, when I select "New Game" from the Title Screen, as that's not changed yet...

Only Akiko is selectable. So that means I'm cutting Emil's side of the story, and the prologue. Some pieces of the planned extra stories will be flashbacks, so that means the main story, Akiko's story, is the only available story. And this little selection screen will be cut.

Let's look at the bare bones Database Menu at the moment.

Looks very simple when evented, eh?

From here, you can learn more about the game's characters, its locations from within the game, the races (humans for example of this), and as well as a families and bloodlines.

Each Section contains other sections, so If we select Races, then we need to select the race we want to know more about, for this example... Human.

And the database you'll be able to read. Something small I remembered experimenting with a fan translation of RPG Maker 2003, before the official translation and localization of RPG Maker 2003 became a thing.

Oh! One more thing about the Database Entries. Sometimes they can have Sub Entries, which are optional to read.

This is an example. You'll get the choice to read a sub entry to a main entry of the database or not. Whether you see these entries, or not, if another sub entry exists, you'll get the same prompt.

In all honesty, I'm rusty. My skills are lacking, but I'll see if I can get the time to do some of these again, probably when I'm doing a chore or something. Oh. and....

I'm thinking of overhauling some of the maps so that it's not all just "One Room per map" when it comes to indoor areas. That way, the building will be fully available, but will be on a "One Floor per map" basis instead of just one Room. I dunno. Debating on that and I may experiment with that too.
Of course, cutscenes will be separate from the main maps, as I haven't figured out how to transition from cutscene to gameplay easily yet. I'll see what I can and can't do with RPG Maker XP. ALSO! For the little elephant in the room...

Yeah.... I love my younger brother, and the fact that I can link Memorie with his project, I decided to cut out any false rumors about HIS own project, which he has an idea for and hopes to actually continue it.

That's pretty much all I got for now. I will be changing some things, as well as continue when I have the time. Maybe make a stream. I dunno yet. Also... I'll see if I can make the animation of "Press Alt+Enter to play in Fullscreen" faster. That's pretty much it for now. :3 Hello! I'm kinda back from "ghosting", I think that's what it's called.

Thinking Well, you could keep some of the discarded parallel stories as easter eggs or side quests. just saying. Happy with a sweat
