Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5! - PK8 - 05-16-2015

I hope this piece of news has you Tony Hawk/skateboarding fans running in a cyclone as it does to me, because I'm feeling excited to post this! I'm also trying to contain my rush of nostalgia, so yeah.

And now for some nostalgia! Oh if only I can embed an Instagram post here. But anyway! As you can gather from the title and from this post, the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series is making a pretty epic "back to basics" comeback (no peripherals!). I personally can't wait for the return of the Create A Park. It's been 9 long years since THAT feature has last been seen in a Tony Hawk game.

Thoughts?

I spent so much time in park editors as a kid naming gaps stupid things. And then going in as Jango fett in THPS 4 And rocket jumping so high and doing like a million cheats to place impossible high scores. Low gravity +Speed cheat.

Yaaaaaaaaaaas! Though I loved playing as Spider-Man in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. He had some really fun moves to use. Spider-Man + Moon Gravity cheat was also just as cool. [Image: laughing.gif]

Man, I also remember making my skateparks try to resemble the cities and rooftops, and then coming up with some clever tricks to make my offset rails sit at the edge of a pool and putting together lip trick gaps. Auuugh, so fun.
