Cheap Faces
Version: 1.0

Introduction
Okay... this adds faces to your actors as you define in a configuration section. YOu can also turn on/off the ability to show these faces in your menus (except the save/load screen) rather than the charactersets.

Features
  • Lets you add faces to the main menu, status window, name edit and/or battle status window
  • Lets you adjust the x/y position in each of these windows.
  • Includes the Graphics Cache Tester to prevent crashes for non-existent files.

Script
The Script

Instructions
Pretty simple format with headers at each section in the script

Compatibility and Installation
Meh. Not SDK anyway. I'd recommend it being one of the first scripts if you alias any of these windows.

What the...?
Something seems to be wrong with your textfile for the script oO'
Regarldess of which programm O open it with, I basically get only questionmarks. (12228 to be exact, if the wordcounting from open office can be belived XD) The same happens when I open it in the webbroweser.
Here's an example of the code as it shows up:

#==============================================================================

# ** Cheap Faces

After cleaning it up and trying it out I have to say that it does work quite nicely, but the menu screen itself looks somewhat ood with the faces squashed behind the information.

Sorry for the late response, yamina-chan. But it woulda been so lame to say... 'I fixed the link! But oops, Fileden is down so you can't see that.' Sarcasm Really....

Yeah, the odd text comes from the filesharing site not liking .txt files, so I just change the extension to .doc. Don't ask me why, but that's all I do and the filesharing site works fine.

As to the facesets looking funny behind the text, well, you can use larger or smaller face images. And the script does grant you a way to adjust where they show in the screen. Heck, upgrade and go full body portraits if you want. There isn't really a size limitation here. It's just... basic and cheap.
