My landlord is disappointed in the job the guys she hired did, in regards to getting rid of the snow.
She specifically told me NOT to shovel, because she "Had guys that would do it all", and she's saying outside right now to her husband: "I never had to shovel this much after someone did the job, like the ones that live in ____ did. They always did it right, and I'm paying these guys a LOT of money to do THIS?"

She was referencing the good job I always did whenever I shoveled, for a measly 20 bucks knocked off the rent. Not only do I need money knocked off the rent, but she needs someone to do a good job. Maybe she'll rethink hiring 3 guys to shovel extremely narrow pathways to leave the apartments, and not shovel the sidewalks at all? I'm right here... 20 bucks, and I'm hers... because I actually care about my apartment building, and the people being able to walk safely on the sidewalks. I'd be out there all day, for 20 bucks. She paid those guys a LOT more to do a complaint-worthy job... (And she might have legal trouble because of the non-shoveled sidewalk now, so there's that...)

3 days, and the sidewalk has yet to be shoveled. I wanna go out there and help, but again... she told me not to.
I WANNA DO SOMETHING, LEMME HELP!  Sarcasm Sarcasm Sarcasm Sarcasm

Well, I finally finished shoveling my driveway. I had to move my car to get to some of the areas yesterday. Car purred like a kitten. Did the sidewalks nice and clean. And I expect the county to move the wall-of-ice that some plow put in front of my house.

So now my car won't start. Oh... I'm a WALKIN' to work for the week.

And here I am, enjoying the mild, snowless weather of Texas >:D

Finally my Sword Art Online Soundtrack is complete!

I love the music of Yuki Kajiura and it bothered me all the time that there were missing tracks on the other OSTs.

My dad got a 200-dollar charge on his AT&T bill for the "Free" Tablets we got from them.

Never trust AT&T. They are lying, scheming jerks who will extort your money, while giving the worst service you could imagine.

Not joking, avoid these fools.  Sarcasm

RE: What's on your mind? - Ahzoh - 01-29-2016

Sadly the apartment I live in that my mum is leased to can only have AT&T as a service.

RE: What's on your mind? - Bounty Hunter Lani - 01-29-2016

I have a receipt saying the Tablets are 0 dollars each, so these guys are trying to screw us over.
NOT ON MY WATCH.

I feel bad for your mom... But then again, I have Blue Ridge, who aren't any better. They say if you're paying for any of their internet plans, you get a free wifi box.
Guess how much a wifi box REALLY costs? 100 bucks, another 100 for activation, another 50 for someone to plug it in for you, because you're not allowed to plug it in yourself... forget that noise, I declined.  Tongue sticking out

It makes you wonder how they can get away with this and why few people complain hard enough to make any substantial difference. Oh, but I know why.

There is a problem when a company doesn't care about their customers. There is a problem when companies practice the same practices that competition is essentially nonexistent.

I found this article about electric toothbrushes ruining teeth. What's funny is I have a family member who just quit their dental assistant job who stated I need an electric spin brush. That's not the first time I've been lied to by a dentist (or a family member) either.

The last time I went to the dentist they stated I had a ton of cavities, gum disease and bone loss. Um... no, no and no. I only went in for a routine cleaning and 1.) I've never had a cavity, 2.) I have no tooth sensitivity and 3.) my teeth aren't loose nor do they feel like they're falling out. I've since switched and now go to a new dentist, but they countered those claims and said everything is fine.

I'm 30 so I do suspect that maybe, one day, my teeth will eventually be bad but things are still great. The only problem I've ever had was breaking a molar while eating Corn Nuts. Avoid Corn Nuts and popcorn kernels and you should be fine. Oh, and spin brushes are bullshit.

Sorry about the rant but sometimes "trained professionals" don't know what the heck they're talking about or are trying to make a quick buck off some poor sucker. It's like we're living in the Twilight Zone these days.
