Some big news coming within this or next week in regards to my game!
Anyway, I've finished up all of my schooling, so I am sending back the other laptop. Now that I don't have to work on school stuff, I'll have MUCH more time to work on many things. My page, my game, recording playthroughs, etc... It's gonna be fun!
I also figured out how to get some fps back while OBS is recording! I just minimize OBS while it's recording, and I get about 10 fps back
Strange, but it works pretty well. I just don't know how the recording looks until it's done! Oh well, if I have to redo a recording, I'll redo it.
Also still working on getting a job, but apparently a few places nearby are hiring. They're not very far, so we'll see how they go

I know I've said this before but I HATE pages that operate based on a "Load More" function.
What's wrong with page numbers?
If you're looking for something that's been a while ago, you constantly have to scroll down, click load more, wait. Scroll down, load more, wait. Scroll down, load more, wait. Over and over. It's the most annoying thing.
Press on a link accidently because the button didn't show up in time? Start over. Close the page by accident? Start over. And I sure hope you don't get tired by seeing the same things scroll by again and again and again that you've seen plenty times now.
Instead of, you know, have a page numer that you could remember to go back to. Nope. You always have to start over from the beginning.
If popups were the bane of the internet a few years ago, Load More buttons are it now.

In other news: I've participated in the first (in a long time and first by this host) Event Workshop over at the rpg-studio.
Despite having been planned ahead of time for two weeks, no one really knew what to do or suggest, so it was kinda chaotic XD But also very fun =D We ended up talking about how to keep your Events (and by extension your database and maps) organized, shared ideas and suggestions and all learned something, I think.
And we now want to make it a regular thing, so that's pretty nice too. I actually get to talk to my fellow german Maker-users for a change XD

I was just going through someone's Youtube videos earlier, and I ran into that exact problem!
They had over 1,000 videos, and having to start over after accidentally clicking a video was annoying
On another note, Windows Essentials decided it would be a fine time to update WHILE I WAS SAVING A VIDEO. AT 95%.
The file I was working with was edited many times, and I have to do it all over now.

Well, I spent an hour or two attempting scripting with one of my software instruments. Turned out to be a waste of time. :P It's also making me think about how much sound recreation and re-recreation I end up doing over actually doing something new.

I'm working on my game post so you guys can get an idea about the game I'm working on making...
But I only have somewhat of an idea on what info to give out!
Here's what I got so far:
1 - Basic character info on a few characters
2 - Basic story elements
3 - A few features and scripts I'm using/going to use
4 - A screenshot or two
Anybody have any ideas on what I should mention?
(And should this have gone into another thread?)
Also, I was playing Silent Hill 2, and I gotta say... playing the game at night in the dark with some headphones gets pretty creepy.
I'm not normally one for horror games, but this game and series in particular has gotten me pretty good
Finally, I decided to look back at a lot of MMORPGs I used to play, and a lot of them have either changed to the point of them not being the game they used to be, or they've added in so much stuff that it's ridiculous-- Over 200 new classes and rebirth options in one of them!
I would love to play them, but the truth is, most of the old memories of the games are likely going to be ruined by a jumping pirate class in a game where only walking was available with Chinese-style warriors, mages, archers, and dual-wielders were the only choice in the past.

So I found out earlier that the fan remake of Resident Evil 2 in the Unreal Engine 4 was cancelled via Capcom's request.
Usually when a company does that, it's either because the person was trying to make money off of the game, or the company is planning on making their own version and don't want the other one to compete with sales.
If Capcom is going to release a new version of Resident Evil 2, that would be awesome-- though it'd probably be for PS4/XBOX1 anyway, meaning I can't get it
Also, I'm super excited for Sunday. Fear The Walking Dead and WWE Summerslam are both going to be on at the same night, meaning I will sleep well that night
Also, people are getting trophies for going to school?
Rewarding people for... going?
EDIT: Just heard Capcom has been making their own, and I didn't see that bit of news. Interesting.

Well, the other day, after lots of fellow retro nuts telling me to, I finally watched Blade Runner, specifically the director's cut. It was a good movie, though I think the main reason it has so many fans is because of the book it's based off of (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep); by itself, I'll need to watch a few more times to fully understand everything. Still, pretty intense and creepy, especially toward the end, which is a plus in my book. XD

Blade Runner's popularity is partly due to the quality of its special effects too. :)

I recorded two hours of Journey of the Five today for my playthrough on Youtube.
Only problem?
It was 30 minutes of scenes and a random battle, and 1.5 hours of me dying to a storyline battle with two dragons with a Reraise counter.
I mean, I get that people who make hacks wanna make a battle challenging, but giving two dragons that are already tough on their own Reraise? That's overkill
Anyway, the Dead Lani counter keeps going up, and I HAVE to do this battle to move on to the next one, so it looks like it'll be an interesting night of many Dead Lanis
