Well, sucks that I have to re-acquire RMXP and RMVX again, and the latest version of my antivirus. I kept the (2nd) latest version available... and I just downloaded my current fav download manager.

It's the bookmarks... ugh. I just straightened those out and now I gotta use an OLD backup again.

EDIT: Oh, and I just ran our ReGaL demo. Other than not setting up an RTP, it's working fine on a totally fresh no-gamesystem install.

I'm no Mexican to feel insulted but there is a user on another board who posted a few videos about his new project, a game about an inmigrant who tries to cross the desert but might be attacked and killed by tigers... Even if the situation is a bit unrealistic, I still find it's insensitive no matter how much he might stress it's a satyr or parody. After Trump's public statement that sort of games are definitely not welcome unless one is racist or something like that. If we remember the fact there is just one human race, it's not possible to treat other people like scum. I don't know if that project will be banned from that board but no forum is a place for haters.

A friend drew me in a stream as request - which is now my avatar - and I'm just going to... sit in this corner and babble about being cute. . \\\\.

Has anyone ever played Bust-a-Groove 2?
I'm the WORST at this game! I have yet to win a single time, and I've played the game for two days now!  Laughing

Oh well, at least Shorty is cute :)

Oh, PC. Why did you have to die. Alas, you couldn't wait 2 more weeks as Windows 10 would be coming out this upcoming Thursday? Nooo... you had to do it today, a day I post the Gazette.

I had to go and shop quick. On the plus side, I now have a new HP with double the HDD space (no stupid low capacitty flash memory for me). On the minus side, Windows 8.1.

Hey, I'm back online, and had backed up nearly everything beforehand. Had to grab a few Linkies just now. And the ONE thing I finished downloading tonight, I will start DLing again... um... Monday.

RE: What's on your mind? - Bounty Hunter Lani - 07-26-2015

I've been using Windows 8/8.1 for quite a while now, and so far it hasn't been too much of a problem for me.
The only thing I've found annoying is sometimes dragging the screen when trying to select multiple things, or accidentally calling up the bar on the side.  Tongue sticking out

You should consider building your own PC, Dervy-kun. Much better quality stuff for less price, but the building itself might be the only problem.  Confused

Anyway, I am about to begin the process of setting up RMXP on the new laptop. Once I do that, I can work on my game in my spare time! YES, I'M GONNA WORK ON MY GAME!  Blushing + Cheery

RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-26-2015

Oh, I have built PCs before. I've swapped out HDDs, inserted modem cards by Cardinal, changed out graphic cards for better ones, even replaced processor chips when the 286 systems allowed you to remove/replace the processor itself. It was a time factor (rats).

8.1 at least allows me to go straight to my desktop. No START button that I'm used to (I got a 'programs' toolbar... closest match). And all my fun stuff is back on again. But I wish one could import/export eMail addresses easier than having a list and typing over again.

All that time for help, it was all for your brother's game???? Tongue sticking out

Grab Classic Shell for Windows 8. You'll get your start button back.
What's wrong with flash/Solid State storage? It's about a gazillion times faster.

RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-26-2015

You can make a toolbar and just have it point to your PROGRAMS folder in your OS. It's still there. No download needed.

And as far as flash memory? All the ones I've seen are really low capacity. And I read a report that if you go 7 days without power (not usually a problem for a PC), there's a chance of data degradation.

RE: What's on your mind? - MetalRenard - 07-26-2015

My main PC has a 256gb SSD for software and a 1tb HDD for bulk storage (games, recordings etc).
It runs LIGHTNING fast.
