RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 07-18-2026 KDC Wrote:Though next time something like that happens again, I'll be going to Windows 10 instead. Mainly cause of my keyboard, and how it lights up. That decision might prove to be quite problematic unless you don't care that Steam stopped supporting Windows 10 some time ago.

So the 64-bit version of Windows 10 should still be supported. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-20-2026 I highly doubt that Gotcha Gatcha Games is dealing with the RUBY/JS editions. Komodo Palace is still the online site that deals with sales of non-steam editions and if you had bought a copy from them they would likely still have and honor your purchase. Though I would wait for a sale unless $25 for XP is fine (sometimes ya might catch it for $5 or even FREE that one time). Why the heck are they selling VX for $60 I laugh that Steam's copy of XP says Gotcha Gatcha Games when it was only established in 2020 and XP came out in 2005. Way to go rewriting your own history there, bub. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-23-2026 For giggles, I went to the game editor threads under our TOOLS board, and added their EULAs. The one for WOLF needed translation, and its only for the paid edition. RE: What's on your mind? - Remi-chan - 07-26-2026 When I next reformat I'm probably gonna change my OS to SteamOS. Heard a lot of good things! My main point of contention is in how much it will support, chances are though it'll have a wine / bootcamp equivalent by default. I've got plenty of time to look into it at any rate. RpgmakerVX has stopped working on my PC again, which while hardly the end of the world, is annoying when I'm trying to show some of my old goofy mistakes to highlight potential issues with someone's premise, or to agree that it might be a very silly idea! Also be nice not to have windows try to tell me to upgrade to win11 or to do a thing I'm not interested in doing for the eightieth time this year. Also would likely be a nice easygoing reformat if it's anything like steam compared to say, origin or epic's gamefronts. Be nice not to have to spend several hours disabling all of microsoft's invasive malware and spyware masquerading as antiviral programs or "security updates". RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-27-2026 Well, there were lawsuits demanding Microsoft stop doing that demand for you to update to 11. They stopped demanding it in the US. Apparently, they were ordered to stop everywhere else this year. It shoulda stopped this past April.. And, of course, whether the PC is capable of its support. RE: What's on your mind? - Ace_V - 08-01-2026 Interesting phenomenon with the movies... Father really wanted to watch The Odyssey so we went to the IMAX theater yesterday. No dice. All showings sold out. Weekend included. Most seats sold all the way until next Thursday. ![]() Finally settled on getting tickets for the 10:45AM showing next Monday, which isn't ideal but it was the only one with reasonable seat placements left. (Other time slots the rest of the week only had seats available in the front row, which is a migraine waiting to happen.) And I haven't even thought about Spider-Man yet. That one is sold out everywhere until the next weekend. ![]() I don't remember this ever being an issue. Avatar 1 wasn't this crowded, neither was Infinity War or Endgame. I recall Titanic being busy, but not sold out across multiple malls and theaters. Same for the Star Wars prequels and the re-released original trilogy. (I do recall documentaries about Jaws and The Godfather and Psycho having very long lines, but those were before my time )I wonder if Dune 3 / Doomsday in December will have this same problem. |
